Confelicity Lady Saxophone Just wanted to say that we have a new source of getting MP3 urls from soundcloud songs. I was going to add this in... but I didn't know whether to put it in the Soundcloud guide, in all of the guides which require direct MP3 urls, or in a separate new guide going over how to get direct MP3 urls for players...? Oooh, this is cool biggrin Huh. It's a Soundcloud thing so it looks like it needs to be in there, but it's not necessary to find the hotlink in order to use the player, right? But then the step to do so is very close to generating the player anyway.... I think I'd rather not put it in there. I'm all for the separate new guide and linking it to all the guides to players that require a direct link. I'd also like to clean up the instructions I wrote for Kiwi6 and put them in there. It was looking busy on all my guides sweatdrop Yeah, wall of texts xp I guess I'll go ahead and start making that tomorrow then ~ (Unless you want to write it? i don't care)

Got you covered on the general media guide wink Btw, I was wondering about including hosts for music made by the user. It would probably be bad if Gaians started using these methods to host copyrighted music, though. And there is probably a small amount of users who makes their own music, so...

Mhmm, that would probably be a good idea. I think with any of the sites, they're usually intended for your own songs and not hosting ones with copyright laws... but whatever XD
I don't have any things planned for the post I quoted you on in the guide, if you wanted to make that a separate list from the others?

And you're right, this wasn't very legal in the first place, even if we weren't intending to spread music illegally sweatdrop I'll try out the other stuff, though, probably with some old recording of me playing the violin, just to be safe, and then I'll let you know what works. Eh... I can't think of anything else important to add. I'm pretty okay with how it looks.

Permission to use Internet Archive as a hosting site? I've tested it for a week with no problems. Like Kiwi6, it requires an account, but seems more dependable. I feel kind of bad about using it to host copyrighted stuff since it looks so friendly, but I suppose every piece of audio will become a digital artifact someday.

Done; I added some extra stuff because I noticed a few drawbacks. Do you think that it's too much or unnecessary?

Nah, detailed instructions help X'D I was trying to use the Soundcloud MP3 thing for Billy yesterday and was glad of my directions... (Kept getting error messages and then I realized I had put in the wrong URL)

Hi, Saxy! I tested all the media players for the guides I wrote. Sorry I did this a week later than I said I would sweatdrop . But anyway, just for a count, they were: Dewplayer, Bandcamp, Muzicons, aBowman, Flash MP3 Player, AudioPlay, and Zanorg. They all function as they did before, so anybody having problems probably did something wrong. The only thing was that the AudioPlay people made a new player which uses JavaScript. When they did that, they redirected the URL from their old player to their new one, so people using my guide were confused when they clicked on it. I changed that in the guide, though, so it should be fine now (・ω・)b

But yeah, AudioPlay was the only one I had heard people have issues with, so thank you for fixing that <': (I still have to re-write Youtube's guide eue;; my week has been hectic)
