Lucian wasted little time once the shadow had been outmaneuvered. He leap forwards towards Dameon at the same time Dameon charged at him. The scythe was the first obstacle but also provided an advantage for the mad king. Lucian smacked the scythe aside before his arm turned into metal and he grabbed onto the chain, pulling it towards him with the intent of pulling Dameon as well. Unfortunately for Lucian, Eleven took action. The younger numbered one burst forth from his place and severed the chain with his sword before spinning and attempting to sever Lucian's legs at the knees. The Mad King jumped over Eleven's swing but the young one shoulder checked Lucian while he was in the air. The mad king hit the ground with a thud but he rolled back onto his feet.

The gears turning in Lucian's head was almost audible as he sought for something to exploit Eleven's emotions but he could find nothing. Eleven had already lost everyone he cared for. There was nothing left to exploit. "You shouldn't have turned on me. Even now you can't stop what I have done. You can't destroy what I have built. If you kill me another will rise in my place. So long as men live their will be evil to corrupt them. It will never stop!" Lucian shouted at the duo. He was outnumbered and with Eleven actively fighting he was at least evenly matched if not outmatched.

"Then I will never stop." Eleven whispered back. The four words struck something in the king causing him to charge at his grandson. Those were the last words Nine had spoken before Lucian took his life. Taunting the king about his choices did very little to affect him. Intentionally trying to invoke rage did nothing, but Eleven spoke passively. He gave a reminder without trying and it had angered Lucian. When the Mad King drew close, Eleven charged forward as well. He leapfrogged over Lucian and at the same time hooked both of his feet on Lucian's arms before throwing his weight forward. The result of that effort was Eleven slamming Lucian's body into the ground head first. Lucian bounced slightly and Eleven quickly rose to his feet. Lucian remained motionless on the ground. "I will never stop." Eleven mumbled again as he took a step or two towards Lucian before the king shot off the ground and tackled the younger warrior. Lucian straddled Eleven and began beating on his head. Right, left, right, left, right, left, right, left. Each blow came down like a hammer. Once or twice Eleven managed to move his head out of the way (resulting in Lucian pounding a small crater into the portion of ground he hit) but Eleven couldn't avoid them all. His face quickly became bloodied and bruised but he did not stop trying to block until finally Lucian grabbed both sides of Eleven's head and dug his thumbs into the spymaster's eyes. "You will stop..." Lucian's voice came out venomous and cruel as his hands burst forth with electricity. Electricity that was sent directly into Eleven's head and eye sockets. The Spymaster let out an ear splitting cry of agony but he did not fight back. Instead he grabbed Lucian's arms and held him so that he could not pull away.

"Dameon! Do something now!" Eleven's voice range into the mind of the only ally left in the room. Eleven was in agony, true and complete agony, but a price had to be paid to draw Lucian's attention. Eleven had chosen to pay the price. What did he have to lose? If he fell and Dameon used the opening to finish this fight their kind would be extinct. The last of the numbered ones would fall here. But Dameon had to act.

Dameon watched as his attack was nullified by Lucian only to see the younger numbered warrior step into the fray where he watched them fight until Lucian was on top of Eleven pounding away and completely forgetting about him. Seeing an opening just as Eleven had even issued the mental command forming his swords once more taking aim at Lucian's head and heart as he approached from behind not making a sound in his approach and thrust his swords at the mad king, intent on ending the mad king once and for all.

Lucian was as distracted as Eleven had intended for him to be but the nature of his strikes preserved his head. The long wind up and brutal swings downward allowed Lucian to avoid Dameon's head shot but Dameon's other sword hit it's mark and tore straight through Lucian's chest. The Mad King's eyes widened and he grabbed the blade with his metal hand. He began to squeeze with the intent to push the sword back out but Eleven stopped him. The younger of the two grabbed his grandfather's arms and forced him to pull the sword further in. Lucian's eyes widened and Eleven wiggle away from the mad king who remained on his knees in the center of the room with one sword through his chest only an inch or so away from his heart. Eleven stood and placed one hand on his deeply deformed and smashed head as his face began reforming into what it had been before the assault. He blinked a few times so that his eyes could fully reform and then he picked up his sword. "That took you long enough Dameon." Eleven mumbled as he cracked his neck slightly. Dameon couldn't blame Eleven for being impatient given what he had been doing to distract Lucian.

Lucian remained motionless in the center of the room with a sword driven through his chest. He wasn't dead, his breathing had slowed but it was maintaining it's own pace. Eleven took a step towards his grandfather and pulled the sword out before tossing it aside. There was no need to leave it in. Dameon had killed Lucian and now he would regenerate as their kind always did. Eleven had no grand weapon to stop the regeneration so he would be forced to kill Lucian the way their kind had been executed in the ancient times. During the regeneration Eleven would put an end to this war.

"This changes nothing... another will rise to take my place... you will turn on them..." Lucian spoke quietly to Eleven before speaking up so Dameon would hear. "You will kill them all. This power I have built will not end with my life. My influence spans worlds, worlds that will hunt you all. The Zaibatsu is finished even if I have lost this battle I have won the war. I broke you. I broke you all."

Dameon shook his head as he looked at Lucian. "You senile fool. Your threats fall on deaf ears.Your strongest pieces are either defeated or have turned against you, so let your them come, they will fair no better than you have here today." Dameon held out his hand with a large ball of magic forming in his hands only for it to dissipate making him glance at his hand only to see the armor slowly turning into mist. Ah, so his form was finally being rejected by this realm, it was no matter though. Lucian would be dead before he could fade away back to purgatory. As long as he didn't use anymore energy he could sustain his presence until the deed was done and to at least say goodbye until his human form could be reformed.

He turned to Eleven and nodded, "He is yours to to finish."

A slow chuckle emitted from the dying king. "Did you really think that this would end with my death? Look around you, you fools. There are few more than a dozen fighting for the Zaibatsu. The soldiers you had have been slaughtered the people you sent away shall never return. My army will survive this but your army has already fallen." Lucian paused to breath. He looked from the floor to Dameon. "Look at you... your going to go back to Purgatory. You're going to abandon your wife and son again. In time they will grow to remember why they hated you. Even if they don't you will still lose them. Everyone dies in the end. No one can prevent that." Lucian paused again as he shifted his weight to one knee and began to stand. Eleven raised his sword for a moment but lowered it the next as he saw the black glow beginning to emanate from Lucian's skin. It was starting now. Lucian turned his head to look at Eleven with a sad expression. "I have nothing to say to you that you do not already know. You will be alone, the last of our kind. I honestly hope that you can find it, but you need to accept reality. If you think this has a happy ending, then you haven't been paying attention." With that said Lucian closed his eyes and the glow became brighter until it seemed to flow off of his body. Lucian bowed his head slightly and Eleven raised his sword. "I know." The boy mumbled before swinging his sword.

What came next passed quickly. The glow became violent and then faded in a forceful outwards burst that caused Eleven to stumble back slightly. the burst shook the throne room and the land beyond just as the land had been shaken in Nine's demise. Lucian's body fell to his knees and his head made a thud against the floor. Then Lucian's body fell forward onto the ground. A silence like death enveloped the room as Eleven became the last of his kind. He closed his eyes and mumbled a few words before looking at the sword in his hand. This was not what he had wanted. He had never wanted this, but he had been left with no choice.

Dameon had been knocked away a few feet, his arm completely dissipated from the blast. he groaned as he stood up taking in Lucian's body dead on the ground before he turned to Eleven. "He was right about one thing. His armies will try to continue onward even without his presence. I can offer my own soldiers and men from purgatory, my undead will not be enough fro this and my time here is growing shorter and I will not be able to help you finish this, not personally at least." Dameon glanced at the door where, just beyond the doors, the battle still raged on.

"Also please tell them that I went out trying to atone for my sins. I don't care if the hate me or forgive me. But I don't have enough time to tell them myself." He spoke his request as his body from the feet up began to slowly fade.

"And I know I we had our differences but after this fight, you have a friend and ally in me." With that his body finished fading away into nothingness and Dameon was no longer in the realm of mortals, plunged back into purgatory to face his body being painfully reformed.

Eleven gave a slight nod to Dameon before his body faded from the world. Lucian's body lay on the floor with his head a foot away from his shoulder. Dameon had his wishes and had offered another army but Eleven did not want it. More death would solve nothing. Eleven's eyes drifted to the floor as he tossed the sword in his hand aside, the last full sword he would ever hold. There would be no final shift, no great surge forward to destroy Lucian's army. They were outmatched and outnumbered, if Lucian had done anything right, he had built a strong army. But in time whatever city-state the soldiers could muster would fall. They lacked the proper education when it came to ruling. With that in mind Eleven sent out the order for all remaining soldiers on the field to evacuate. This was an war they never could have one. Lucian was right, they had won the battle but lost the war. Fortunately the battle was all that mattered in the long run. Lucian's army would not be able to elect a leader and continue expansion. Their numbers would dwindle and in time they would fall, but Eleven would take no part in that. the last of the numbered beings moved over to the Zaibatsu throne for one last time and set his hand down on it. As he did the ground began to rumble and the throne vibrated until it began to crack and fall into rubble. Once there was nothing left of the chair that had brought so much pain Eleven turned away and began walking towards the exit to the throne room for the last time.
