I have yet to play X and Y but I would pick fennekin.

Chespin, he was pretty cute. I kinda feel bad he's now locked up in a PC Box, though.

I think that was probably one of the cool area's that people could not go wrong with choosing. The starter is always the first pokemon you will battle with or will have battled with and a strong connection is there after playing with the pokemon you chose to start your journey even after finishing the game, so the pokemon company always seem to know how to create those with that elegant touch that makes you cringe thinking 'no I have to use 'pokemon's name' they were my starter.
I personally thought that fennekin was the best but really, it tends to be the pokemon you chose for your starter because of that unexplainable feeling in your gut that you get. So those of you who will have voted will probably agree or if not stop to think about it. Isn't that a weird psychological thought behind the series? I guess first appearances are everything.
