Zill had a flyer from the mission board in his pocket as he went to check on the person's house. He liked the job more particularly now than he did when he was first looking at it because it seemed the fastest way to earn money and stay hidden from Micheal. The requests seemed simple and one in particular he liked quite a bit being 'keep out of sight'. "Alright, I think I will keep out of their way and go back to help rebuild if that guy with a jawbone sword gets moody..." He said as he still thought the building would be much easier to replace than lives and limbs. He said as he looked around, The house seemed common and cozy but was thinking of how he would best deal with the dog. "Now how does that dog get into this place?" He said as he started to look for both the dog and more apparent ways that he could get into the house. Zill had spent several hours outside in search of the cause before he decided to go inside to look around.
Zill Had entered the building only to be assaulted with a flurry of flies that nearly knocked him back out the front door. His immediate task then was to get rid of the flies. With a pot of sugar water, a rather big leaf to turn it inwards and some sticky glue, Zill made a makeshift fly trap like a pitcher plant. He then went to figure out what was allowing them to breed and where they were coming from. Zill had been on his hands and knees so long that he had eventually taken off his armor sets except for his gloves and boots so that he could find any and all crumbs and sources of food for bugs. He eventually found a stockpile of bones and stuff shoved in a corner. It was very disturbing and he was wandering what he had gotten into as his arm suddenly had teeth around it. Three minutes later after he had fought the dog off and put it out the front door, Zill had taken the bones out of the corner of the house when suddenly the dog was in the room again and after his arm a second time. "NOW GET OUT AND STAY OUT!! THIS IS MY GLOVE AND THE HOUSE IS NOT STORAGE FOR YOUR BONES!!" He said as the dog dashed off, climbed up on top of a neighbor's stack of boxes, onto a tree branch and in a window. "...oh... So that is how you are getting in." He said as he then cheated the dog out the house a third time with a sheet and rushed up the stairs to push it back out the window when it came in. "I WIN!!" He shouted at the dog from inside the house as it walked all over the roof. and dug and scratched at the window seal which told him where the leak was. "Is this dog for real? It isnt even his dog and it has nearly destroyed his house" He said as he went back out the front door and moved the neighbor's boxes so that it could not climb back up onto the roof.
Several hours had passed with Zill waiting before he had realized that the dog could only get down via those boxes and would not try to get down. Zill could not find a ladder and eventually decided to put the boxes back so the dog would go down. When that did not work he went into the house to run the dog off the roof but when he got up there he found himself getting chewed upon at the leg as the dog had more than one way to get into the house. He had to get himself free, run the dog out, patch up the major wounds in his leg and then get off of the kitchen counter to get the dog back out of the house because he was keeping out of the dogs reach when it sneaked back in. After a quick search he found that it was coming out from behind a bath room because the water pump that let the pipes come in was open enough for the dog to climb into the house. He had wedged a wooden chair in the hole so that he could take a trip to town to grab some boards and nails. Zill may not have came by the boards honestly but at least he kept to just two boards and a pack of nails. After finally making it impossible for Frank to get back inside, Zill moved to the roof in order to tack the shingles back down.
When all was said and done Zill had ended up sleeping in the mans house behind the door to wait for the man to return the next day. It felt like it took a year for the owner to finally return with the flies that were after him since their source of food was gone, the dog howling and scratching at the door all night and that he was going to bed hungry. When the requester of a caretaker to preform maintenance on his house came back, Zill looked like an armored corpse coming out of the shadows and about caused the person to die from the surprise. Zill had explained that he had accepted the mission and had stayed there the whole night for payment after discovering that the dog had been the cause for the whole allotment of problems in his house. The owner did not believe him at first and opened the door to let the dog in and pet it as they were good friends but then turned around to see Zill up on a table and away from the dog. He then recieved his payment and went to find a tree to hide in again so that he would be out of the way of dog teeth till he had time to recover.

Elly had a hard time finding some well-paying work on the job board. She had been led to understand that recently, fewer jobs had been posted than what was usually available. She searched through what was available and couldn't find much. A job to look for a lost dog, she couldn't be much help on that one plus it wasn't paying much, there was no money reward at all really, just a pass for some free hot dogs. One job required her to travel but the cost of the travel would be greater than the job was paying, there was no point. Another job was asking for somebody to participate in some kind of experimental study...without thinking and before she knew it she'd torn that one off the board and burned it in her hand. Paying her own outburst no mind she continued to look over the board, "Housekeeping" Seemed simple enough...Though she didn't quite know how to fix a roof, couldn't be too hard. She needed the money, she'd figure it out once she got there.
Elly left Lamia Scale to make her way for the house, her impossibly awful sense for direction kicking in once more. She walked around the city for eight hours before stopping to ask for directions. Elly found a man peddling hot dogs at an intersection and showed him the flier, asking him to give her directions. He pointed her on her way and sent her off with proper directions. Along the way Elly passed by a child holding a small doll and calling out a name. Elly stopped to ask if she could help the boy, he mentioned he was looking for his dog before getting a good look at her and running off screaming, leaving the doll behind. Elly picked it up and squeezed it in her hand, the toy made a high pitched annoying noise. She slid the toy in her sleeve, hoping she'd see the boy again so she could return it. Another Eight hours later she found another hot dog peddler at an intersection to help give her directions, this one seemed to pity her as he decided to lead her there himself, it seemed to elly he was familiar somehow.
Once at the house the real job began. The house was a small thing and as she understood it the current owner had recently bought it from a couple that had to move out now that their son was growing older and they needed more space. She was more or less down to a single day now to get the whole job seen to. The poster didn't lie about the fly problem, the house was infested with the black devils. Elly searched around and eventually found some bug spray and got to spraying, killing flies as they flew through the air...though that was slow going, there had to be a faster way....A moment later the air was alight with black fire as she sent god flames out to fill the room, the flies dropping out of the air and their corpses turning to ash before they hit the ground. She eventually found the nest of them, a rotting hunk of meat in the garbage that the owner had likely thrown out without thinking, she burned that too, thereby putting an end to the man's fly problem.
As there was no sign of the dog the next objective was the roof. Elly found a ladder in the house's basement and used it to climb into the roof, though limited familiarity with ladders almost cost her a bone or two on the climb up since she hadn't set it properly against the side of the home. Once she was up there she started looking for somewhere water could leak in, it took her a good ten minutes of searching to find the hole water was leaking in from. Elly headed into the man's basement once more, having more trouble with the ladder on the way down, so she could look for supplies. He didn't have much since he'd only recently moved in but she found a tarp and some nails that would serve well enough to keep the water out, she didn't pay any mind to how that might look however. Elly took her found materials to the roof and got to work. She stretched the tarp out over the hole tight and hammered the four corners in, it would keep water out, though it probably wasn't a permanent solution. All and all fixing it there took another twenty minutes, her job was going well. She came down from the ladder and brought it inside.
She set the ladder back up in the basement, as she did she heard a small crash from upstairs. Upon heading upstairs to investigate Elly found the dog mentioned in the job. He'd tipped over the trash can to try and get at the meat she'd roasted. Now Elly had to find a way to get him out of the house for good. As she approched the dog turned and sniffed at her. Suddenly he barked and leapt at her, trying to bite at her arm for no reason. For a moment Elly was ready to fight before she remembered she wasn't supposed to hurt it. She had to think of another plan. The dog turned in place and made another lunge at her arm, brushing her sleeve as she dodged. The impact knocked the doll she'd picked up free and the dog attacked it happily, squeaking it over and over again. It Took Elly a moment to understand properly what had just happened. She knelt down to pet the dog for a moment before picking the small animal up and taking it from the house in her arms, she was going to be doing a lot more walking at this rate.
Hours passed before she finally found herself at the intersection with the Peddler once more, the dog in arms. The boy she'd met on the road was with the man, he was closing up for the night. The boy saw her approaching and hid behind the man, though as soon as he peeked out and saw the dog in her arms he sprinted towards her shouting the dog's name. She passed the pup to him as the peddler approached. She explained where she found the dog and the peddler filled in the blanks. He was the boy's dad, they'd recently moved out of that house, Frank got off his leash one day and must have headed for the old house by mistake. The father thanked her and asked her who she was. She thought for a moment and answered, "I'm....a mage of Lamia Scale..." She saw the kid playing with his dog and smiled faintly to herself before waving goodbye to the duo to make her way back to Lamia Scale.
Once she finally got back Elly meant to go check the job board again immediately, she didn't find any new jobs posted but the one for the lost dog had been taken down and in it's place, nailed to the board was a thank you note to the 'Black Doll Woman' and a coupon for some free hot dogs.
