The Entrance/Gate: --If one would manage to stumble upon the grounds, one would find themselves at the Biome Entrance grounds. Within the grounds lies a deep and rooted forest. This was, and is, planted by the 12th Division, and cared for by the Division. However, towering the forest is the actual Biome itself. It is one of the tallest buildings within the Seireitei, because it covers the entire grounds that belongs to Squadron Twelve. The Biome itself is made out of hexagonal plates that is composed of concrete and Seki-Seki stone. Making the giant Biome a fortress against attacks. This is also used to protect the things inside. If one were to follow the cobblestone path that leads out from the cavern and into the Biome itself. They would eventually find themselves at another gate. Division Twelve and Rukia Wakahisa is embedded high up on the Gate. Once one has been granted permission, and security from Headquarters, to enter, they will find themselves entering the middle layer of the Biome. This Gate leads to an elevator that goes below ground, making the complex possibly the tallest in all of the Seireitei if it was built upwards. Below ground is Wakahisa Labs, something that took a remarkably short time for the Captain to put together, but was part of her 10 day absence's little pet project.

Ritsuko knelt down and gently lifted the flower before her. She sniffs the scent of the flower and smiles. It was strangely a scent of butterscotch. Ritsuko took out a notepad and scribbled down her findings. She stood and looked around at the various others designated to Garden Duties today. In a military fashion, she clasped her hand over the other behind her back, and began to make her rounds. Ritsuko had to make sure everyone was working, and also not over-watering or under-watering certain plants. Each species of plant was very different, and some responded to things in different ways. She noticed, more specifically, one plant literally died overnight when the 3rd Seat gave it only two cups more water than needed.
She stands tall, clasping her hands together behind her in back in a military fashion, and then begins making her rounds. Ritsuko nods to her Division members as she passed, as both a 'hello', but also as a 'you're doing fine'. She walks over to one of her members, "Remember, half the pot per week, and this plant is fine. The cacti on the west bend need a their watering today, as well." The member bows and goes on with their business. Ritsuko walks over to a bench, taking out her notepad and writing things down. Despite her Division being the center of technology, she liked pencil and paper for notes. It was easy, more portable, and didn't break if dropped. She sneezed lightly, wiggling her nose, "Oh my, the pollen may be getting to me."
Jubaku smiled as he approached the 12th division Captain who seemed to be working so studiously today. He slowly walked out of the nearby doorway as he clasped onto his over sized haori with one hand while leaning on his cane with the other. Jubaku looked around briefly, amazed to see that there was another plant garden other than his own. The thought made him smile a bit and laugh to himself as this place makes his small patch of garden look like a little scratch in the dirt. He shifted and turned his attention back to Ritsuko. It wasn't often that he felt like bothering other Captains during the day, especially for a social visit, but he figured it might be nice to get to know the people you'll be working with for the next foreseeable centuries. But still he wondered what could have brought him here today of all days. Chance maybe? Or perhaps it was the sweet smells of this botanical garden that drew him here. He wasn't exactly sure, but still, he was here so he might as well make it a visit.
"Working diligently today are we?"

Ritsuko looked up as she heard the German phrase thrown her way. She wasn't sure who it was, and gave a quick glance at first. When she realized it was Jubaku, she stood up quickly with a well-mannered smile. "Ah, Hogosho-Taicho, it is a pleasure to see you here. Welcome to the Biome, and thank you for the blessing." Her mind immediately lapsed in to memory recognition. Jubaku Hogosho, carried the blade known as Zankoku. Notably, walks with a cane without clear signs of a disability that requires such an instrument -- this would conclude sentimental value more than personal health requirement. He also worked part time at the Academy. Renowned for his sword skills.
With a movement of her hand, she displays the gardens to him. "This is part of my work, now. Despite it being rather tedious, and the objects studied sometimes... not cooperating at all. I, myself, rather enjoy this botanical monstrosity," she chuckles a bit and clasps her hands in front of her. Ritsuko made an 'oh' type of expression, reaching for her notepad, and moved next to Jubaku. She points to a particular line, "Mind the terrible handwriting, if you will, but do you know of this plant? I was studying it this morning, where I took a good smell, and it seemed to have the scent of butterscotch. It both astounded and slightly confused myself. I have never come across such a plant. Could it be crossbreeding, maybe?"
Jubaku smiled and leaned forward a bit on his cane intently listening as the good Captain began to talk of her work and how she felt betwixt bewilderment and intrigue. He continued to watch her never breaking casual eye contact as she continued on with talking. She then spoke of how her work was not cooperating with her. He could only laugh a bit to himself as he knew that feeling all too well. She then suddenly sighed and presented a him with what appeared to be a notepad and seemingly pointed to a single line that appeared to be an observation of hers.
"Butterscotch eh? That is troubling..."
Jubaku then reached into his sleeves and pulled out a small leather pouch that appeared to be some type of ground up herbs of some kind. As soon as he opened it the air around him became intensely filled with the same smell that Ritsuko had observed before: Butterscotch.
"The plant you are describing is actually a type of weed. It would appear that one of your overly zealous assistants may have taken some samples from my garden. It's very disconcerting..."
He shifted and began to think back at all the times where several pieces of his stock seemingly went missing just as soon as he had harvested them. This probably explains where they've gone missing.
"I'm a bit of an herblist myself, you see. This is one of the several varieties of plants that I use to make my various pipe flavor-ants for smoking. The smell of the plant becomes imparted into the pipe smoke making for some very pleasant effects."
