Throughout the Tower of Babel rest floors which reflect the darkness inside of humanity...when humans venture within, their shadows come out to play, changing the very face of certain levels within into the dungeon of their nightmares, putting on display that which they don't want others to see. But for those whose shadows have already taken control, whose darkness rules and acts according to its own design, there are unique floors entirely under their command, bending to their will as they seek to ascend to the top of the Tower.
Floor 262 is a beautiful, formerly pristine chapel.Littered about with Rubble, upturned pews, broken doors, shattered windows, and red petals littered about. What looks like Permanent marker makes a path through the devastated area, the carpet of the building fading and browning from age. This is the Shadow world of the Anti-Shadow Weapon, Wind Yakura No Number. A world where one reaches their apex of happiness, now long since trashed and abandoned...The eternal truth of anything in the worlds. Eventual degradation and resignation to one's fate. The chapel shows a glimmer of hope, dashed by the tests of time. Shadows litter the area, polluting this once holy place of Matrimony......Like the cold reality of the world catching up to one's fantasies.
As one travels further in, the shadows grow more agitated, and a piano plays a familiar song out of key. The windows let in very little visible light, leaving the path to one's adjusted eyes, and one's fate in constant question. It grows darker still as one travels in, before starting to find the remnants of a white gown and a black suit...before ending with a beautiful, shining black coffin...Just large enough to fit a single body.

W.Y.N.N. vs. Tharros Gallen

W.Y.N.N.
Dark....The world WYNN had entered was dark.
Though the tower of Babel was Vast...a building that she had visited many nights ago....in a completely different time...Before she had been awakened.
And now..inside...she felt heavy. Like, something was pulling her down through the ground. Her eyes slowly opened and peered around the area slowly. A beautiful area...marred by rubble, shadows, and other garbage. She slowly squeezed her hands open and closed, before standing up at this.
This...place. she thought to herself, her fingers wrapping around her staff. Something...feels...wrong.
Something seemed to resonate inside her, as if recognizing the area..Even if she didn't want to acknowledge her feelings in this regards. She had to enter with the others...She had to participate in this strange tournament, with an insulting epithet....And, soon enough, she'd be in the middle of battle with someone.
I don't....want to fight anyone. she thought, as she pressed herself up. But..if it's for protecting everyone...for protecting Shu..
Her sensors flared up at this, hearing some giggling echoing out through the area. The voice sounded eerily familiar...and more than anything...It sounded...
Happy...? she thought, hearing the voice laughing quite loudly. WYNN blinked a few times.....hearing the laughter fading away to something else....
However, she couldn't focus on that right now....
Right now, they had a mission...and if she was going to have to fight....She would.

Tharros Gallen

If it wasn't for how these floors were set up, Tharros would've been lost for certain. He felt bad that he had to leave Crowley behind but he was certain the man knew what he was doing. After all, the Nurse had just helped him come to terms with the struggles that ailed him. Plus he gave him a lot of good advice to keep handy for the remainder of this tourney. If he were to find Nix then he needed to be supportive and not grill her for information. There were some off tidbits about monsters but he disregarded that. Right now he needed to see what awaited him beyond this door. Hopefully it would be someone he'd have no issues fighting.

The first thing Tharros noticed was that this place was in disarray like his was, in a way. As he stepped more into the floor, it dawned on this that this was a chapel of sorts. 'Please don't let this be Nix's floor.. But who in the world could this belong to?' As the man searched, a familiar shade of green caught his eye. The silverette hurried over to look only to see WYNN standing there. When he realized that General Teddie might make them fight, a heavy feeling settled in his stomach. WYNN was a fellow SEES-2 Temporary Member and a girl so striking her wouldn't be right. Maybe she wouldn't wish to fight either!

"WYNN? Um.. Is this floor yours? Um. I was told you shouldn't deny it or something bad will happen. So perhaps instead of fighting, we can just talk this out?" Perhaps that would help settle things.. Tharros would prefer not to place WYNN in a position where she would be forced to keep fighting. Maybe if she remained here then she could get in touch with Akihiko and figure out what this tournament was.

The green haired girl seemed to almost sulk as the white haired figure moved in, calling to her. As he called to her, the girl's grip tightened around her staff....and a voice rang out, now audible to Tharros as well.
Used and tossed aside... a voice eerily similar to WYNN's called out, making the Anti-Shadow weapon tremble. Nothing more than a broken tool....Nothing more than a broken toy for them....
WYNN's normally easy...somewhat carefree face was twisted in a panicked, distressed frown...And as the voice echoed through the destroyed halls, she could feel herself slipping away more and more.
"I-I'm...I'm not..." she choked out, looking like she was holding back tears as she quivered, the place seeming to almost delve deeper into her mind.
We have no use for.... another batch of voices started, sounding...disappointed. Put her on cleaning duty....Put her in supply.......Put her in cooking...Put her in....standby.
The girl's eyes went downward at this, letting out soft, pained whimpers at this. She was...crying?

"Now now now...The folks don't want to see a member of the P1 Climax crying like that." an aggravating voice called, 'General' Teddie speaking out through a nearby monitor that descended from the shambling roof.. "Why, what would your brother think if he saw you like this?"
WYNN's expression went from distress to shock, as she clenched the staff in her hands tighter.
"S...Shu?" she called out, in a panicked voice. "Where...."

"Ah ah Ah....I can't tell you that. the voice called back again, adopting an evil grin. "But I can tell you this...He'd definitely be disappointed in you. He might even....throw you out like everyone else..."
WYNN gasped in shock at this, her hands moving over her mouth as the 'General' chuckled.
"He..He wouldn't.."

"Ohohoh, but he would. You're too troublesome for him. And if you can't even fight to protect him, what use does he have for you?"
WYNN was stunned at this, imaging harsh criticisms from the most important voice in her life....All lifted from other criticisms she had heard previously. She was useless...a broken toy...They had no use for her...
N..No...I have to.. she thought, turning to Tharros with a will to fight...and a panicked, anxious expression. I Have to fight..I have to beat him...or else...

"Heh..Now..BRING ON THE RING." General Teddie's voice called, four red pillars crashing through the Chapel's ceiling, surrounding the two and creating a barricade for them to fight. WYNN didn't move from her spot at this, merely gesturing at Tharos with her hands....as she evoked her persona.
"Tal...Talos.." she called, having to focus her energy towards the fight...and summoning up her mechanical, robotic persona. It raised it hands in a swirling motion, and Tharros would feel a slight...change in his defensive ability.
"P..please..." she spoke to Tharros, shaking. "D....Don't.......I won't...Lose..I've got to....got to prove that I'm....."

Tharros Gallen

Tharros couldn't help but frown as he listened to the voices that echoed through the ruined chapel. Where these the thoughts that went through WYNN's mind all the time? What a horrible thing to endure all on her own.. Before he could say anything more, General Teddie showed up and made the situation a lot worse. He wanted to punch down that TV do badly but he had to focus on the girl before him. She was a lot more distressed then she was moments ago and that wasn't good at all. Now he could see why Crowley got worried when he too started to lose himself back in the other arena. It was his turn to try and talk WYNN back to her senses!

The silverette could feel something wash over him, changing his defense somewhat. WYNN really was going to fight him. All he could do was try to talk her out of this and win. Because in her current state of mind, winning this match wouldn't help her at all. He couldn't allow her to press forward while she felt like she was some broken toy! "WYNN! You don't have to prove anything to anyone! You are not some broken object.. You're a person! No one is going to throw you away, not now nor ever!" Tharros slammed his fists together as power welled up within him. He needed to take precaution just in case the green haired girl did carry out an attack. "I'm sorry but I can't let you win and go forward when you think what those voices say are truth!"

"S..Shut up!" WYNN's voice cracked, as she swung out her staff, a heavy burst of wind blowing through the area, and slamming into Tharros with far more might than it had any right to. The previous spell had eliminated his defense to wind attacks, if only temporarily. Despite her panicked attack though, WYNN was still trying to keep herself in control. "I'm Wind Yakra No Number. An Anti-Shadow weapon..that couldn't even summon a persona."
She gripped her staff tighter, her mechanical parts now more visible and prominent than ever. "I wasn't worth anything...I couldn't do anything...And every time I failed, i was Reassigned...Tossed aside!"
She held her sleeve up to her eyes, starting to openly sob, even if she didn't quite cry. "I'm not a Person...I'm a Machine...A tool."
She threw her arms down at this, glaring at Tharros with fierce, if feeble appearing eyes.
"You wouldn't know Anything about me..About what I've gone through..and what I will go through."
A sound like a plea for help...and yet, there was a bit of truth to the words, even in the basest sense.
"You're human, after all. You're a Person!" she shrieked, starting to feel herself slipping away. And yet...
Something else was calling out...crying out. If one's shadow world was based on themselves, then it was easy to see why the girl was in such a place of matrimony...of the symbol of togetherness. Yet...
Why was the place trashed? And more importantly, what was going on with the coffin behind her? A dark chuckle rang out through the area, cuing Tharros in that the building was in fact still hiding a deeper anxiety..

The powerful blast of wind slammed into Tharros, pushing him back and cutting his flesh. So that was what she did, took away his resistance to wind for the time being. Though hearing her sharp yet sad words cut him worse then the previous attack. "That's not true, WYNN.. You're not a machine or a tool. You're my team mate! A person that has emotions like anyone else! I understand why you feel this way but.. No one is going to toss you aside anymore!" Why couldn't she just understand that? Perhaps that was why this chapel was as ruined as it was.. Though that coffin was unsettling. Sadly as she was now, WYNN wouldn't listen to him as much as he hoped.. But he would still try.

Unfortunately, Tharros had to fight back. Perhaps if she was weakened she would be more willing to lend an open ear. But it did hurt that he had to harm his own team mate, there was no way around it though. WYNN would only be more hurt if he just stood there and took all her attacks! "I may be a person but so are you!" He drew out his Evoker and pulled the trigger. Phallows appeared and held up a hand as powerful wind came together to form a transparent green blade to swing at the Anti-Shadow Weapon, unleashing the mighty spell.. "Snap out of it!"

WYNN braced herself as the powerful blast of wind and physical energy slammed into her, knocking her back quite a way, and sending pain rushing through her mechanical body. However, as Tharros called at her to snap out of it.....If he looked close, he'd see her looking even more distraught than before.
"That's not....even it.." she murmured, showing Tharros she had an even deeper issue. She clutched her staff and brought herself back to her feet, looking like she was going to break down into tears any second.
"Even if...an Anti-Shadow weapon such as myself...can be a person...." she started, before swinging her staff out, her vigor still evident despite the powerful blow. Her own resistances had stunted the damage somewhat, but....
"That doesn't change the fact that the person I care most about will Die someday."
And, like that..the puzzles pieces would be coming together. The chapel..it's decayed state...and the black coffin.
"No matter what I do...No matter how hard I try.." she stated, holding her hands up and pointing at the coffin. "My Big Brother, Jo(shu) is going to Die someday! And I'll be all alone again!"
She closed her eyes, her body aching, before she held up her hand. Talos emerged at this, and all of her injuries faded in a surge of healing energy. Her staff started to glow ominously, showing that she had something in reserve..And as she felt energy returning to her, she was prepared to go at Tharros with everything she had.

Tharros Gallen

Now it all made sense. The chapel, the state it was in, the voices, and the coffin.. What was one supposed to say to such an ominous truth? A small frown came across Tharros' face as he watched her closely. It didn't matter if she healed herself, he was still running strong and still had plenty of energy left in the tank. No matter what, he would endure whatever she had to throw at him. He had to in order to bring her back to her senses before her Persona turned against her as a shadow instead. "WYNN, .. I know that must be a terrifying fact for you. Knowing that the person you care about most is going to pass on someday. Though there is something you're not seeing.. By worrying about that day to come, you are missing out on all the time you can spend with him. All the memories you can make while he is still around for you! If all you do is sit around and worry about the inevitable then he'll be gone before you know it!"

Tharros hoped that would bring her back to her senses somewhat, truly he did. All he could do besides that was keep fighting back so he could win this match. As she was now, winning would only lower her deeper into this dark pit her fears have trapped her in. He pulled the trigger once more to unleash a flurry of powerful wind her way. The silverette was not going to fall so easily, surely she knew this.

WYNN held her ground, even as the powerful wind spell crashed over it. With the robes she wore, she was able to stunt the worst of it, but still took a respectable amount of damage. The boy continued by saying that she needed to accept it, or she wouldn't be able to treasure the time that she had with him. She gripped her Staff tightly, still frowning.
"You're right..." she stated, her tone of voice still sounding upset. Even though she couldn't do anything about it..Even if it was wasting her time she could be with him, she couldn't help but feel upset about it. Her staff glew at this, and as Tharros's wind resistnace would be returning to him, one could sense a change in WYNN.
Activating...Orgia mode. she thought, before another part of her started to surge, a battle engine whirring to life to further amplify her magic, as she launched forward, as if aiming to attack Tharros with her staff...before three Insanely powerful bursts of light crashed down on him.

At hearing WYNN's words, Tharros thought he finally got through to her! The man was about to relax when he saw her staff glow dangerously. What was she doing!? They were team mates and she seemed to have finally come to her senses and yet she would still attack him? Maybe she was going to heal him instead? Sadly, that was not the case as she rushed forward before launching a powerful attack. The devastating light crashed down upon him but he stayed on his feet. He endured due to his defenses and sheer willpower to make it through this fight. They didn't refer to him as a tank for nothing.

Though he was in shock, not at the power of the attack.. but the action in general. Why was WYNN still attacking Tharros so ruthlessly? During this entire match, she knew what she was doing and he saw no remorse in her actions.. Sharpened eyes shifted to the green haired girl as he gripped the Evoker in his hand. "You attacked me first, WYNN.. I'm sorry but I promise to get you repaired later.. PHALLOS!" He pulled the trigger to unleash another powerful strike of the Kusanagi, not holding back..

The same attack....
WYNN had to take the hit as best she could again as Tharros used his wind slash again, it crashing into her...but being much less painful than the previous one. It still did a hefty amount of damage, but without his enhanced focus, (and her shift to Orgia mode) it was manageable. She kept moving forward at this, holding her staff at him again. Though she was attacking full force, there was something almost noticeable in her eyes. It was less out of malice for the boy, and more of an anxiety.. She didn't want to kill him...She just wanted out of the area she was in. And as she held her staff again, the Spell started right over him again, not as powerful, but still respectable.
Lei Zas! she thought again, sending the bursts of light towards her foe

As the battle concludes and the four pillars collapse, the two fighters feel an unusual fatigue coming over them...and before their eyes crystals, like tiny, twinkling shards of dust and light gather in the air before them...swirling about...before ascending towards the top of the Tower and out of sight.

Something about this disturbs you...but as the Tournament directs you forward, you have little time to consider what it means before moving on...
