Sirinth's head perked. "We'll see," he said. "I imaging being able to go between helps too. If I get the chance, I'd love to go!" Sirinth said to Poecileth. She turned her attention to hers with an expectant face. Kylerr was back to cutting more pieces. "Of course, dearest," he said, taking one and feeding her. He looked to Malta. "Thanks again," he said brightly.

"Ah? I've wondered whether I was lucky or missed out by being an only child, I reckon it's a bit of both." ~It is good to have clutchmates.~Balkath interjected, bobbing his head at Kynigoth. "Tanner hey? I can rough tan a hide, enough to keep it good until it gets to a proper tanner, maybe you an yours!, but I've a lot of respect for them as can turn a hide inta art. Even there's some clothes done so nice I'd be afraid to wear 'em." Shalev cut and handed meat to Balkath as she spoke, the feeling of hunger in the back of her mind slowly diminishing though by no means satiated yet. Balkath turned his eyes back to his green sister. ~Now that ours are here with us, there will be lots of time I'm sure.~"I s'pose so. Some of it is certainly. It's just.. It's a lot to get used to someone being in your head. I don't mind. I.. I'm glad. I wouldn't take it back for anything, it's just.. different." She stroked Balkaths head fondly. "Though, and Bal I'd not change you for all the marks on Pern, it's a bit harder because they are so smart. Just hatched and wise already. An animal you know what's best for it and you just do it. A dragon is.. A partnership I suppose. It's not just a beastie to look after, that bit's easy, it's a personality and thoughts and hopes and dreams.." The farmer laughed. "Ha! I suppose I'dve been better off with siblings, more used to having to take other folks into account."

((I'm just trying to get Malta to 15 posts to count towards ranking up, and I fully intend to RP with myself to do it. If you want to jump in, go ahead XD)) Malta and Poecileth (13/15) “It does help.” Malta said, nodding, “Very much so. It turns distance into nothing more than a blink of an eye...” said Poecileth to Sirenth, pleased, she looked out towards the hatchlings at the meat tables, She smiled at Kylerr, “Well, I'll leave you be for now.” she said, standing and gently brushing sand from her pants. She took up a healing kit. “I'm going to make rounds of the meat tables and see if your fellow weyrlings need any assistance...” They hadn't come over, but that didn't mean that they didn't need her help: she was sure that the wonderful moment of being together with their bonded obliterated any other need. She was there to make sure that everybody was taken care of so that this moment would remain un-ruined. “Be sure to drop by the infirmary if anything comes up, all right?” And with that, she walked over to the meat tables, surveying the hatchlings... Fortunately, aside from the two greens, most of the hatchlings seemed uninjured... even the big brown. Still, there were a few injuries among the humans, enough to be missed in the brilliance of the bond... She surveyed those, too, deciding on who to approach first...

Jamarin and Atibonth commented Atibonth as he ate, Jamarin found it hard to take his eyes off the brilliant blue before him. He was, he grudgingly admitted, a pretty dragon, and Jamarin found himself tracing the gorgeous mottling of Atibonth's wings. This was his. This was all his. “I'm trying.” murmured Jamarin. purred Atibonth, headbutting Jamarin's hand lovingly, Jamarin felt love – pure and unsullied by any other emotion – blaze through him, half his own and half... Atibonth's. “Oh all right...” grumbled Jamarin... but he was grinning.

Malta and PoecilethMalta made a sort of subtle round around the meat tables, observing the new weyrlings while trying not to bother them. Her eyes drifted over the cluster of newborns near the new gold. commented Poecileth. Malta agreed. She moved to the more peripheral areas, lingering briefly on a young man with his blue. He had a rip down his pants, blocked by someone's shirt, and a slightly sour expression on his face. Malta scrutinized him briefly, but soon relaxed as she saw he did smile. said Poecileth, amused, Malta smiled at the pair, before drifting around to...
That shaffing brown. She was glad the horrible beast had found his rider.
Malta agreed, noticing a red stain on the boy's pants. She approached.
“Excuse me,” she said to Jikkiri, “Are you or your dragon injured? If so, Would you let me treat you...?”

Jikkiri and Lagoneth
Jikkiri's entire attention had been consumed by Langoneth, which was just how Langoneth liked it. Their bond was growing stronger by the moment, and Jikkiri almost reveled at how wonderfully complicated his Lagoneth was. His beastie. His person, bound to his mind. The closer their minds became, stitched together by the genetic engineering magic of a woman from millenia ago, the more Jikkiri simply adored the brown.
The closer the brown got to Jikkiri's mind – and he intended to get very close indeed – the calmer he became. Jikkiri was so wonderful, so precious and beautiful, and was His.
When the healer interrupted their extended moment, it broke the spell briefly and Lagoneth snapped at her, his eyes flashing red.
“Shh...” said Jikkiri soothingly. “She'll be gone soon, it's okay...” he glanced at the healer, “Sorry. We just want to be left alone right now...” he blinked, “Oh, wait, yes.” he looked down at his injured leg, as if seeing it for the first time. “We have a few scrapes and scratches, Ma'am Healer, but we'll be fine, I promise!” he said, smiling, “But, um... for now, could you...” his smile became apologetic, “Please go?”
Langonth, too, looked at his rider's leg, his eyes yellowing in concern. A memory of rampant slashing, of legs that offended him...
“Hmm?” Jikkiri thought for a moment, “I suppose so!” he said, amused.
Langoneth hung his head.
“It's all right!” laughed Jikkiri, hugging his dragon's big neck. Langoneth huffed appreciatively. “I'm fine! I love you! You found me! That's what matters, right?” He turned to the healer, “Is there stuff you could leave here?” he asked her, “He and I, we just need some... you know...” he cuddled his dragon's head, “Time.”

Malta and Poecileth
That was a no.
Malta looked at the dragonet with misgiving, backing up out of his range as he snapped at her.
reassured Poecileth soothingly, though as she watched from her perch her eyes did flicker yellow amidst their perpetual blue.
Malta wasn't so sure. Not with this one. “Oh! Yes!” she said, “I completely understand...” She backed away, trying not to make threatening movements and provoke the dragon (or damage their bond.) “Er...” the boys question made her stop. Well, the leg injury wasn't too bad, and the dragon only had scrapes and scratches, so...
She took out a unit of redwort, a unit of numbweed, and a unit of bandages from her kit, putting them on a clean part of the table beside them. She moved slowly, not taking her eyes off of the beast. “Use the numbweed first, then redwort, and then bandages.” she explained, “And if something else comes up, drop by the infirmary...” she backed away, “Okay?”
With the pair's assent, she continued on the meat-table round before returning to her post.
