Nilakshi looked around her now organized work space in what was to be the Healing Clinic and School. She still felt a little nervous about her new role, but she did feel like she was beginning to feel the true meaning of "home." She did not have any patients or students yet and with everything organized there was nothing really for her to do there. Most of the cleric's focus since her arrival had been on making herself a home and caring for Mlinzi's injury. Other than her walks between her little niche among the crystalline branches and Mlinzi's home she had not been out and about in the city. Perhaps it was time she ventured away from her own little corner of Lychnidos and had a good look. Word must have gotten around by now of the pink and yellow nantlil and her job, seeing her around would make them more comfortable seeking her help should they need it.

"Yes, that's just what I'll do," she finally said to herself nodding. I really need to try not to talk to myself. I won't always be alone especially here, Nila noted to herself as she draped a small woven bag over her shoulder which contained small packets of some remedies, some bandages, as well as other items useful for trading. Maybe she'd take a look around the market, or maybe a potential patient would approach her; it was good to be prepared.

After a quick look to make sure everything was in fact where it should be, Nilakshi stepped out her front door fully determined and see and be seen and maybe make a friend or pick up a student along the way.

To say that he was odd would be an understatement.

Where most of the B'alam that had awakened had established something that resembled a home by then, either by seeking out a grove or raising a home for themselves to their liking. Some were more organized than others, some more perfect than others, and some more decorated than others. Not that there was anything wrong with that, no, quite the contrary in fact. It just seemed like a bit of a distraction.

The world was new and so little was actually known about it. Why were they here? Why was the world made? Why did a butterfly's wing have so many colors? Why did the night blind them? Why why why...

He'd often be seen walking through the town, stopping to observe another for as long as they would tolerate a stare from the male or watching a trail of ants until the sun fell below the horizon line. He sometimes walked while muttering to himself, his eyes distant and his head bowed slightly. No one actually knew where he resided when he wasn't drifting through the town or pestering one of the Magus with his most recent observations- and perhaps he liked it that way.

Mizar had found himself following a series of interesting creatures that morning, starting with a shrew that had crawled over his paw. He woke to follow it a good ways into a field where a falcon had carried it off. Following the falcon, he watched as the nimble bird picked away at the shrew and discarded the bones and fur. Those things were devoured soon by a series of beetles. Those were picked off by a large lizard with a pair of bulging eyes which had been snatched up by a fox. That one had been harder to follow but eventually he had found himself in a small flower garden.

To say the least, it had been an insightful if not gloomy start to his day. Eventually he had lost track of the fox and instead focused on the garden. Every petal of every flower was...somehow different. It was as if a tiny paint brush had detailed each one to its liking...

The abbot was so lost in his comparisons of a small blue flower to a larger pink one that he barely noticed the Cleric emerging from her home into the light of the day.

Nilakshi was slightly startled to discover another b'alam and her just barely outside her door. "Oh," she said in quiet surprise taking a slight step back. The other seemed to be quite focused on the garden and she regarded him for a moment not wanting to interrupt his apparent concentration. It hit her that there was something familiar about him, but she hadn't met him yet so how could that be. Had he been described to her perhaps, or maybe it was just the way he held himself and observed the world that was familiar, a bit like herself when she had leisure?

"Lovely are they not," she commented finally raising her voice slightly hoping to get the male's attention. "This garden is one of the reasons I chose this area for my home and workspace. It's very peaceful and such feelings aid healing."
