Yes, this was a thread in here a LONG time ago. Fret wanking is when you try to play a solo and you tremelo pick random notes really fast, like Slipknot for example.

I can do tremolo picking, took me a while to do it too, but I never really use it much and even if I can do it, dosent mean Ive mastered it, most of my picking is (compared to tremolo picking) slow and since im playing blues and pentatonics, everything comes out bluesy

I'm really terrible when it comes to solos, it's just really hard for me to play them right and build up my speed to the actual speed, but it's more my fingers trying to keep up with my picking..

Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm good at it now but I really used to be like... "Bleh I can't fricken do it! Damn fingers, move faster!" And I still am sometimes... sweatdrop
