You must write 5 sentences only. No more, no less. The next person will continue your story with the next five sentences and so on. You cannot start a new story until someone says "The End". You can post as many times as you want, but you cannot post twice in a row. Someone must post after you before you can post again. I'll start.
The bonfire burned brightly, flames shooting high into the sky. The cloaked figure circled the fire slowly, chanting strange words, arms stretched toward the moon. His steps began to quicken, as if he was taking part in some intricate dance. Suddenly, the fire began to swell and glow green. With triumph, he shouted the last words of his incantation, his voice echoing around the forest.

☣ Team Trick
The creature struggled against its bonds, its eyes wide with fright. Soon, it would be cast into the flames. Each ragged breath, each heartbeat brought the beast closer to death. Or worse. It let out a ghastly howl in an attempt to draw attention to its desperate plight.

☠ Team Treat
Not so far away the beasts cry was heard by a passing ranger. Silently he slipped through the forest until he came to the edge of the clearing. He watched the strange ritual and the men who performed it with a mix of curiosity and fear, but his attention was soon turned back the the caged beast. What they intended to do with it was clear, as was the fact that the creature had not deserved such a fate. If he wanted to save the creature, he would have to act fast.
