The City of Reim existed originally long before the technology came about that made life a little easier, or difficult depending on the way you looked at it. Built from dust by a group of demons that were banished from their land, the city, and gang that resides within it, might actually be considered the oldest of the four...though it's not known whether it's true.
A once proud city, built and cared for by the demons who originally came to settle in these lands, it now stands a dark, solemn place with towering buildings that look down on those who live there. It's reputation soiled by those who chased the demons from their place of power, although it wasn't like many outsiders held respect for them in the past anyways.
Just those few travelers and people looking for a place to belong like those demons originally had. In fact, they are the ones that strive to keep the stories of them alive, that try to remind everyone who may have once cared, or who may still care, that this place wasn't always in such a state, and that the demons who once gave them a freedom they could truly call their own, that gave them another chance at life, were still there somewhere..and that they were still fighting to regain their hold.
Since the time that the demons were chased from their seat of power in the city, it has advanced in technology greatly, even beyond what the demons had originally planned, or what they would have even wanted it to. Although it may not be nearly as far along as the city of Drowwood is, they still have androids that walk around, robots, places where you could have surgeries that would allow for body modifications using cybernetics, though most would warn you against purchasing anything of those sorts from Reim.
The city of Reim may not be well known for excellent work on robotics and the like, but one thing it has ALWAYS been known for is it's weapon forges. They excel in crafting weaponry of most any kind, even technological, though they prefer to stick to more traditional style, non laser, photon, and what not based weaponry.
The metals are worked through the old forges created by the demons, using the old leaders fire that continues to burn to this day. Demons who make weapons also are known to use any flames they have themselves if they have no access to one of the old forges to make the weapons, which gives them strength properties that other weapons wouldn't have if forged in normal flames.
Sometimes runes are carved into the blade or gun, or whatever the weapon may be to give them special traits or abilities, though the downside to this is that depending on what type of ability it's given, it may need to be brought back to the original creator so it can be restored.
