If you can find something redeeming please let me know because, honestly I can't find it.

It got jumped and gang rapped by huge dudes with nerf bats.
Beast pack? HQ's? No lord of war and WTF is up with the void raven?

This echoes a commentary I read on a different forum. Someone did remark that while a lot of the codexes this year got nerfed pretty hard *coughNidscough*, they balance against each other a bit better, and this drawing-back may be an attempt at stopping the power creep (where each book is better than the last) that GW had held up before this.

Some good things I suppose:

Power from Pain no longer requires you to kill stuff, instead it is an automatic bonus that keeps on stacking over the course of the game.

Warlord traits that look like they are each and all very useful.

Same can be said for some of the artefacts, quite fluffy and useful.

Webway Portal, or the ability for a model and attached squad / transport to deep strike and not scatter.
