Sir-Chairman-Meow No I am so sorry this took so long xc I promise my next posts will not take so long. I'm coming because I need to find you Is anybody there who can rescue Somebody like me?Ⓛuɔɑʂ Ⓢtσɳe ◀◀Lucas “Luke” Stone at 18 years of age could not swim. For him swimming was an impossible task that he had never been able to master. Really it was irrational, it wasn’t like he had some traumatic event that had happened to him in the water that prevented him from learning how to swim. In fact his parents had forced him to go to swimming lessons when he was a kid. But as soon as he had gotten into the water; he had started to freak out and wave his arms wildly and splash around uselessly in the pool. He had an anxiety attack and was helped out of the pool. Ever since then he had never tried to swim again, he just avoided pools and oceans and any large bodies of water that would require him to swim in. He had spent 18 years of his life happily avoiding swimming. Hardly anybody even knew that he couldn’t swim. It had always been something that he was embarrassed about. Eight freaking teen and he still couldn’t swim.
The very fact that he was 18 and still couldn’t swim standing anxiously near his car at the beach. The beach was his sworn enemy every time somebody had invited him to the beach he had made some excuse not to go, fearing that he would be asked to go for a swim and that would not go well at all. But he would be going off to college in a couple of months and he had decided that it was time for him to grow a pair and learn how to freaking swim. Most eighteen year old college males knew how to swim and it was time he became one of those males. Lucas had worked his a** off in his final year of high school to get good grades and a football scholarship to the school of his dreams. Lucas was smart and in relatively good physical condition. He was prepared to finally get over his irrational fears and spend the summer learning the one thing he had never been able to do. He was going to attack swimming with the fierce and abundant passion that he did everything else with.
He leaned against the hood of his car in his grey t-shirt and black swim trunks as he waited for his friend who had promised to teach him how to swim to show up. Lucas was a tad bit early, because he had wanted to mentally prepare himself before his swim lesson. Adrian his best friend and had been on the swimming team had promised Lucas he would teach him how to swim. Of course Lucas’ best friend was a stellar swimmer who knew about Lucas and his inability to swim and had offered to teach Lucas how to swim years ago. Lucas had just never taken him up on his offer until now. Lucas just wished Adrian would hurry up and get there before he changed his mind and bolted.
He ran a hand through his mass of curly blonde hair and looked around the beach, trying to calm himself down and take in his surroundings. There weren’t many people on the beach, which Lucas was thankful for so nobody could see his disastrous attempt at swimming. From where he was standing Lucas’ bright blue eyes noticed one girl on a brightly colored surfboard. He watched slightly in awe as she expertly swam through the water and then began to surf. Lucas was pretty impressed by the girl and found himself entranced as he watched her surf. Lucas didn’t know much about surfing because land sports were his thing. Yet he could tell the girl was pretty damn good. That was until she suddenly was pulled underneath the water. He blinked in surprise wondering if the girl was okay. As soon as she had vanished she had reappeared on the shore. Lucas could see that she was coughing and immediately ran over to her. He stopped about a foot away from her and looked down at her worriedly. The girl was rather small but up close he saw that she was also quite cute. “Hey are you okay? I don’t know much about swimming but I’m pretty sure you should never surf alone.” Lucas said to girl anxiously. She was coughing and seemed to be fine and maybe he was kind of rambling. That was just because he wasn’t sure what he a random stranger with zero lifeguard knowledge could do for her. ▶▶ Cause I'm just waiting For somebody like you Somebody like you Without you I'm a lost boy
