Today she chose to dress very simply and in a shirt and pants she didn't mind getting dirty. In fact, she probably didn't look anything like a goldrider today. Minus the obvious gold dragon that followed her. But Narisa was being practical. If she were to wind up falling on the ground a lot while having Kleos help her, well. Why would she want to wear something nice? So she'd chosen leggings that allowed her to move easily in a dark brown. Her shirt was a faded cream color that may have once been pink. Practical.

Clothes are overrated. Cepheith decided.

Narisa just rolled her eyes, stretching her arms and legs. She'd asked Kleos about training her. Helping her to improve her self defensive abilities. The upstart of the revolution may have been a little over two turns past, but Narisa never forgot the fights. And how she'd been lucky not to sustain any worse injuries then she'd received.

Besides, they now had three junior weyrwomen so their workload's were slightly lighter. And no one would miss her for an hour or so today, right?

Pipith's would! The gold giggled, settling herself to catch the best sun rays from the early morning.

"Cepheith!" Narisa felt her cheeks grow a little warm. Her dragon just snickered and ignored her.

Just outside Dauntless' wing's headquarters was a vaguely circular expanse of sand, perhaps a couple of dragonlengths across. Kleos was currently occupied in smoothing it and clearing away debris with a large rake, leaving behind her an attractive pattern of swirls moving from the center of the circle outwards. On a normal day she wouldn't trouble to draw out this pattern - it longer than simply working over the bits that needed it - but it wasn't every day that one of the gold riders expressed an interest in training with her.

Kleos liked Narisa; she seemed a kind young woman, a good candidate for senior weyrwoman one day perhaps... but perhaps not as soon as she might be forced to wear the mantle. The debate of Abigail's condition still raged and though the woman-dragon showed no intention of stepping down sooner or later somebody might decide that it was no longer her choice. Still, it wasn't as though she had been anywhere near ready to be a wingleader when she had been promoted; she was sure that Narisa would rise to the occasion if indeed it was her who became senior. The new gold rider made no secret of her intentions to claim the position for herself.

Just beyond the circle of sand Moriath lounged lazily, enjoying the warmth of the sunshine after a couple of unpleasant rainy days. It was she who spotted Cepheith first and, giving her rider a gentle mental nudge, she extended a feeling of greeting to the other female.

Still laughing lightly at her rider, Cepheith dipped her head in response to Moriath. We are, crimson sister. I hope you and yours don't mind our intrusion for the day? Cepheith liked Moriath. Liked any of the crimsons really. But more so those that chose to fight. To protect their Weyr where a gold could not.

Narisa gave Kleos a wave as she approached, shooting her dragon a look before ignoring her. "Wingleader Kleos! Thank you for being a willing partner. Or mentor." She smiled a little sheepishly, glancing around Dauntless' headquarters. "I'm glad to see that your wing has ample space." Narisa sighed, looking out around the rest of the Weyr. "We're so crowded. But everyone has been... patient with Trine."

Giving herself a mental shake, she turned back to Kleos. Today she was not goldrider Narisa. Today she was Kleos's pupil. "Okay. No worrying. I'm ready to learn what you can teach me!"

Moriath replied, getting to her feet and stretching before padding over to greet the other female. she added, stretching out her neck to offer Capheith a head rub in greeting.

"Gold rider Narisa!" Kleos turned, rested the rake on the ground like a spear at parade rest, and threw a salute along with a smile. "Than you for asking; it is gratifying that you think so well of my skills, and pleasing that you wish to improve your own!" The wingleader paused slightly then, looked about, and nodded. "We are grateful to have been given this space to practice. There are the training ground of course for larger scale drills but I feel it does the Weyr good to see some of us practice here under their noses. We cannot forget that we are at war, although we may not currently be under attack." The wherholds would strike again and when they did, when they did!... There would be justice, she would see to it personally.

"In any case, yes, training." Kleos shook her head slightly, focusing on the matter at hand. "I would like to start by asking what you already know if I may? Have you any formal training?" She hadn't had any herself until she became a rider, whereupon she had taken it upon herself to learn a little just in case her honor was challenged. That little however had not prepared her for the horror of the revolution and she had spent the intervening turns struggling to improve herself. Next time the wherholds struck she would be stronger.

I am glad to hear this. The gold rumbled appreciatively, lowering her head to rub gently against Moriath. How are things for you and your wingmates? Cepheith inquired curiously.

A faint dusting of red rose to her cheeks, as usually happened, when being addressed so formally. Even after four turns, it still was something she was getting used to. "Just Narisa today." She grinned, offering the wingleader a salute in return. "Well I figured you'd be a slightly better teacher than, say, Z'fer or D'lin?" Not that either of these wingleaders were terrible! Just... bigger than she was. "I really appreciate you taking the time to work with me, too." Narisa added.

She nodded faintly, smile dropping a little at the reminder of the war. But that was exactly why she had requested some extra lessons, right? "I'm glad you and your wing have sufficient space for practice, then." And she did. She knew there were a lot more wings here than originally intended. But she hoped they were working well under the circumstances.

Focusing back on Kleos, Narisa frowned as she considered the question. "Just the basic training we receive during our time as a candidate and weyrling. I never really had to learn anything like that before coming to the Weyr." She admitted. "But since the first attacks, I've taken to practicing when I have time." Which didn't seem to be much lately. "So... assume I'm still at a weyrlings level."
