Theme: Chinese Zodiac curse
Tohru's mother had recently passed away, but before she died, she gave her daughter some very good advice. As long as you desire to help others, you will never be truly unhappy. And remember, to always be yourself.
After living in a tent for a few months, she meets the Sohma Family. The Sohmas are cursed by the animals of the Chinese Zodiac and when this family is touched by someone from the opposing gender, they reveal their animal form.
If you like sappy anime shows, this one will really bring the tears out.

I thought that this show was interesting, but perhaps not as well named as other anime shows.
