A moment of indecision flashed across the lanky Turk's face. They were making a bigger deal out of it than Reno had anticipated. He'd fully expected to walk out the door without being pulled back. He was used to the upper classes treating him like a shoe scraping if he wasn't an employee, and at the moment, he felt — awkward. Somehow as if he belonged here even less than he had a few minutes ago.
Still, barging out would probably not do him any favors. "Eh. All right." He settled himself back in a chair -- one near the edge of the group, since he was feeling out of place, and absently ran a hand through his hair to resettle the spikes.

Kyouya was right on all counts when it came to reading Loki's expression, though it flicked back to interest at the mention of music. She smiled lightly, nodding in agreement to Ari playing the piano. It was something she hadn't heard from the white-haired elf before, and she was curious to hear her play. Her eyes followed Reno for a moment, noticing where he was going to, then darted away again before she could be caught. Hmm....Now he looks more uncomfortable? Normally she was good at figuring people out, and there were only a few that confused her at times. Like the host observing the group right now, which...didn't surprise her in the slightest.

At the slightly more positive notion in the room. She smiled kindly at Reno then returned to the piano. She giggled at the mildly curious expressions on her friends faces. "Neither did I until recently," The elf admitted. tossing her hair behind her shoulders she paused for a moment. What should I play... She decided she would pinpoint one of the stronger emotions and play a melody that resonated from it. She closed her eyes and her fingers passed over the keys carefully as she began. After a few moments she glanced up in hopes of seeing the tension fade away. She silently watched the others wondering how they would continue.

(( Sorry so late on this — I was too tired to RP during vacation time. )) If there'd been any tension in Kyouya in the first place, it was securely hidden as usual. He returned to his tea with a casual air, as if he fully intended to let the whole matter drop.
The music wasn't a piece he was very familiar with ((but his writer is, and approves)), but it seemed gentle and peaceful enough, and it suited the soft tap of the rain on the windows, as well. He would wait until the music had ended before complimenting Ari on her talents. "You only began to play recently? I'm impressed."

Strawberry closed her eyes and listened to the melody. She didn't recognize it, but it was beautiful nonetheless. The blonde found herself lost in the sweet music, the awkwardness from before slowly vanishing as she let the tune wash over her. "That was amazing Ari." Strawberry beamed, green eyes opening once the music had stopped.

"Mhm." It was a quiet agreement with the others, a bit unusual for the fiery redhead, but his temper seemed to have eased a bit. "Thanks for the music."
The belltower tolled 4:30, and he looked up from their company with a slightly-exaggerated sigh. "Better go pick up the kid, before he starts anything. See ya all 'round." And this time he really did depart for good, hands in pockets, spare jacket tossed over one arm, and whistling jauntily as the rose petals followed him.(( Figured it was time to let Reno escape, yo. But if people want to chatter a bit longer, that's cool with me. He'll be back to the club sometime soon. ))

"Ari-ah, for recently learning, that's astounding~" Loki smiled brightly. Piano always interested her for the beautiful melodies she often heard from them. Despite playing a few instruments herself, piano was one she hadn't quite gotten; she could play Twinkle Twinkle with one finger like a boss though...After she found the right key. "When did you learn that particular piece?"The brunette turned her head when she heard the sigh from the redhead. "Bye Reno-ssi." Her smile was kind, but she was still unsure about him. ((You know, when you put it as him escaping, I can't help but picture a little Reno running for dear life from the music room while everyone's distracted. A bit ooc, but entertaining.))

Ari smiled and blushed faintly as her friends complimented her playing. She stood up and gave a little bow. "Thank you~" She was happy that everyone seemed to have calmed down. The elf smiled sweetly at Reno as he stood to leave, "It was nice to meet you~" She waved before turning to the others. "I can't say for sure if I've recently learned or not." She admitted with a shrug. "It was almost like when I first play my other instruments, playing just came naturally." She giggled softly and gazed at the remaining three. Well, it wouldn't hurt. "You see I don't have any memories from before my 9th birthday. For all I know I had learned prior to that." Ari smiled softly, it was the truth. Well sort of...

The door swung gently shut behind the lanky Turk, and Kyouya stirred to collect the abandoned cup and saucer, turning over his shoulder to note, "Or maybe you're just talented that way. Some people seem to have a natural gift for music." He seemed to absorb the comment about her memories, as if it fit reasonably well in the puzzle that was part of Arillena. "Forgive me for asking, but I'm curious; was that before or after your adoption?"

Strawberry smiled sadly. She had to agree, Ari's playing was absolutely beautiful, but to hear her friend didn't have her memories from such a young age, it made her sad for her friend. "Was there an accident that caused the memory loss?" The blonde asked softly, her voice gentle.

((Whoops. Totally thought I had posted already. >.< )) Loki smiled gently, "I think Kyouya-ssi is right about having a natural gift for music though~ You definitely have that." She didn't know what to say about the memory loss, remembering meeting with Ari at her comfy little home a while back. Instead she listened again, just in her usual quiet way. She wasn't going to add more questions to the mix, feeling theirs already covered the main ideas.

Ari nodded, having been expecting these questions. "Before." She stated as she turned in her seat to face away from the piano. "As for if there was an accident, We aren't sure. I had been properly terrified of everyone so it was theorized that something traumatic had happened... " She took a deep breath. "I was told that I had been found unconscious near a old health facility. When I awoke in a hospital I had no memory of my name or where I came form. No one could recognize me so I was sent to an orphanage after the doctors were convinced that I was healthy." The elf spoke truthfully. "No one was sure about my age but eight or nine was the most reasonable guess." She shrugged.

"Hm. I suppose that makes sense." It certainly added up with all of the things that Kyouya had nosed into investigated over time. "At least it all seems to have worked out for the best." Never mind that there were still those little nagging holes in her story ... but Kyouya was never one to drag secrets into the open without a good reason.
"I take it you've never bothered to look for your birth parents for further answers to that." It was a question couched in the form of a statement. He had a bad habit of doing that ...
