Timeline: Current; The end of Summer. Dusk.

The fall of a hot summer sun, the rise of a warm summer moon. It was the double-edged sword of proverbial mention. The signal of fall’s steady approach, and the brutal reminder that summer would not go quietly.
As it was, the beginnings of a light breeze on this particular evening quelled the native’s frustrations well enough, and made it one worth looking forward to. And such a wind was enough to sustain a flock of crows in their fervent flight, but would do the same for the owls and the hawks. Baise Fengbao, the flocks given name, were few in numbers this season, and took to their usual route along the sandstone domain with the eagerness of desperation; headed North toward the guaranteed safety of their home amongst the wolves.
Despite the dangers of a lone flight, one, a large black female with tail feathers of white, broke off from the rest in a slighted nosedive; headed for the the sandstone territory. This caused a brief moment of chaos and confusion, where agitated calls were exchanged and a few of its members followed the female in pursuit. The murder would hover as a single, angry mass in the cloudless sky until the crow female skidded to a halt upon a low lying ledge and vanished into a crevice. At which point the flock remained overhead for a short while more before resuming stride. They would come together with the elasticity of rubber and set off once again for Spiritwalker grounds, almost as if nothing had ever derailed them.
They'd soon vanish into the distant tree line, but only when their calls no longer echoed did Miu shake her frame and step out of hiding. Behind her loomed the multi-colored sandstone, casting cool, dark shadows upon its opposing surfaces while keeping the sun well out of reach. Yet, it was not the sediment nor the sun that promoted her leave of the group. It was the sighting of a wolf, having traversed the wilds beneath them for many hours, that Miu could not ignore.
Leaping into the air and soaring to where the sandstone walls came in close to one another, Miu would post upon a boulder several feet high; taking that alone in the way of precautions. The expanse beyond its narrow opening was still alight and very hot, but deterred her none. Being a curious young Spiritwalker, Miu would would wait for the wolf to come; mocking the stoic expression of her elders in preparation.
