Chal was just hypersensitive right now and froze when he felt her hand brush against his. It felt like electricity (whatever that was) going through his body. He glanced up at her again, wondering if she had felt that too, or maybe he was just crazy. He returned that beaming smile of hers, with a smile like that she had to have felt it too. A hundred thoughts were racing through his head. Thinking about his parents and all the stories they had told him, he had quite the legacy to live up to. He was beginning to wonder if his own story was starting to unfold. Chal wanted desperately to say something, rather than just sitting here and smiling at her like a fool, but if there was single word floating around in his head it was out of his reach. He had to break through, "We should do this again sometime." There, that hadn't been so bad, it hadn't been the most botched sentence to ever come out of a lovestruck pae's mouth.

There was an instant bright response to his suggestion, "That would be awesome! Any idea when you'll be free next?" She had mostly been able to get around the trouble she had gotten into with her momma. Only a matter of time before she was old enough to truly strike out on her own, not that she intended to leave far from her mother. What his plans were, she couldn't say. Rather she put down anything in her hands and gives him her full attention.
Smiling brightly the nymph sat as still as she ever could and waited to hear what his plans were.

When was he free? Well, he was free all the time, but he had a feeling that would sound really pathetic, and even desperate if he said it out loud. "I should be available again sometime soon." That had sounded even worse. Who was he kidding, trying to play it cool. He really just needed to be honest, that always worked best for his parents. "I'm free whenever you are, that is." Chal corrected himself, it felt much better to be truthful. He had only a few responsibilities, and none of them were things that couldn't be dropped at a moments notice to spend time with Alma.

Alma worked to put away things that were eaten and clean up a little bit so there was less to put away once they headed back. She paused at his answer, clapping her hands together once and chirping, "That is great! What about next week? I have this really cool place to show you! It has alpaca!!" Cheering with an excited utterance of the thing, one could be forgiven if they believed she actually knew what that was.
The nice man she met with the golden hair explained where he lived and what he did as he was gathering water. Only, he was talking a lot and she half listened. The word alpaca sounded fun though. Nothing with a neat name like that could be a bad thing, right?Wolfs Heart Here is the cycle "I really need to respond, but its been so long..wolfie probably hates me ;.; *months go by* I really need to respond, but its been so long.." I can't begin to say how sorry I am for taking nearly a year to respond, its close to warping up at least.

Chal noticed that Alma was beginning to pack things up and he sat up and began to help her. "Here, let me," he said with a polite smile. Alma had already done most of the work, putting this thing together, it was the least he could do. He paused as he listened to her, his head tilting curiously. "Al-what-now?" He asked her with a laugh. Chal lived in a cave, literally. Alpacas did not live in caves. He didn't know what an alpaca was, but she sounded pretty excited about it, so he was sure it was something he could get excited about as well. Besides, no matter what alpaca were, it was an excuse to see Alma again. Even bigger than that was that she was excited to show him this alpaca place, and that made him even more excited about it. "Next week sounds good though." he added as he resumed picking up their picnic. It wasn't long before it was all cleaned up. EvilSilverDragon Good news! I don't hate you!

Happily accepting his help, she sat back a bit and used what little she remembered about the blonde guy Putting her hand as far above her head as she could sitting on her knees she repeated the funny word "Alpaca, this tall and really fluffy!" The man had had her at fluffy. Nothing on the isle she knew of was that tall or very fluffy so the trip was always one she wanted to make.
Now that Chal was going with her, it would be extra fun!
With the picnic away, they probably should be headed home before either of their parents notices their gone. It would take awhile but she'd get her Momma to agree. Reaching over she practically threw herself into a hug gleefully thanking Chal, "I can't wait!" Holding the hug several moments, she finally released the male and popped up to a standing position.
It was a little too fast and she had to stay still for a few seconds due to feeling wobbly.

Chal made a thoughtful expression, trying to imagine something tall and fluffy. It was a difficult thing to imagine, but he smiled softly. It was a reason for him to see Alma again, and that was what mattered. The next thing he knew she was just about tackling him. Chal was almost bowled over from the force, but he caught himself. It felt nice, having her so close to him like this, even if it was just a friendly gesture. "Are you alright?" He asked her as she suddenly popped up and then stopped for a moment. Chal stood up to, but much slower, he was just feeling laid back and relaxed from the hug. "It's a date," he said with a floppy grin, letting her interpret that as she would. Chal knew it was a forward thing to say, but he was feeling kind of bold now. He liked spending time with her, she just had this energy about life, that he couldn't help but want to be around.

She quickly answered his question, "Yep!" Certainly alright, world just went a little fuzzy for a moment. It was always frustrating when everything else didn't move as fast as she wanted to get moving. Like the world and her standing up.
With a cheer she echoed his statement, "A date!" The exuberance ran faster than her brain did catching the meaning of what they had both just said. Was it a date-date? As it caught up to her, a blush rose a little on the apples of her cheeks as she smiled brightly at him. A date-date could be a lot of fun, not that she caught on to this being very much like a date as well.
Eager for it to get started, oh what a long week it was going to be, Alma reached down to pick up the basket. "I can't wait!" There wasn't much she could wait on, but this was top of the list.

As Alma echoes his words, warm butterflies began to flutter in Chal's stomach. She had agreed it was a date, and she even sounded super excited about the fact that it was a date. Although, that wasn't saying much because she was super excited about most things. Maybe, she felt like how he felt. He wasn't exactly sure how he felt, but he found his body leaning forward, going in for a kiss. He didn't know why he was doing it, it wasn't like it was the perfect moment or anything. However, Chal was far too slow, and Alma moved much too quickly. She had bent down to pick up the basket and Chal had to catch himself. He quickly straightened himself out, hopefully before she saw any of that. "I can't wait either." he responded, trying to get the somewhat stunned look off of his face. He was still in disbelief over what he had almost tried to do. "So I guess I'll see you in a week?" He knew it was time to say goodbye and part ways for the next week.

Smiling brightly at Chal, she stepped in for a hug. She couldn't just let him leave without sending him off with a hug. Friends naturally got hugs, but the teen started thinking a kiss on the cheek was due as well. She had no hesitations but wouldn't force either if he pulled away uncomfortable.
When it was comfortable, she was willing to let him off with, "Have a safe trip home!" It wasn't that far for herself, she'd be home and working on her momma in no time. The week would take it course and he'd be back! Ooo, maybe she could make a tiny house out front to show him what she can do when he gets there? That was a fun idea!Wolfs Heart Awkward teen male is the best teen male

The warmth from the kiss on his cheek spread all over his body as he blushed. He had to hold his breath to keep from sighing a happy sigh. It was just an innocent kiss on the cheek, it wasn't something he should turn into a puddle over. He certainly felt like a puddle at the moment though. "You trip safely too." Chal said, his words becoming a jumbled mess as they poured out of his mouth. Oh, how he wished he could pull them back in, but it was too late. He coughed, took a deep breath, and then said, "I mean... You have a safe trip home too." He said the words very slowly this time so they would come out in the correct order. He gave a hesitant smile before he turned to go home. He would break out into a run once he wasn't visible to her anymore, to save himself from any further embarrassment.

Alma caught on to what he was saying, enjoying the little word puzzle out of it. Giggling she called back, "Safely home!" A huge smile followed the well wishes. Exuberantly, she hoped up and down waving to the retreating Chal. They would have so much fun next they met, and it would be a date!
Oh, that reminded her she needed to go tell her Momma! Turning on her heel she took off with lightening speed buzzing towards home holding her basket tightly in her hands.Wolfs Heart I think this year long saga might be wrapped up biggrin
