Shalott was moving down hill fast. Funny, now that she could remember her past as Shalott with Camelot that their relationship had ended with him murdering two of his good friends. She'd fled, unable to trust him. Now she was killing almost indiscriminately, or trying to, ever chance she had to pay back the Negaverse. They'd taken too much from her life to not want to bring some of that back full circle.

But going off the rails wasn't doing her any good. It was pushing her away from her family and the growing stain of blood on her hands wasn't bringing her any peace. She barely spoke to her husband except about their children. He didn't like what she was doing and, truth to tell, she didn't really like herself right now. It wasn't like she blamed him but she felt so lonely sometimes.

It was during one of these rare conversations with her husband that he mentioned Lydia was in the hospital. He didn't mention it was Painite but she suspected the general. The woman was tearing her house apart brick by brick. Why would her future daughter in law be immune?

She showed up at the hospital nervous about being recognized or something going wrong but anxious to check on the young woman. She tapped on the door and poked her head in, trying to smile as best she could.

"Hi there." She didn't ask if she was ok or how she was feeling. She just came in and sat down and tried to be there. Kyn wanted to try to be normal.
