Mia slammed her hand hard onto the top of her alarm clock, graning as she refused to get up. After surrendering to the morning, she rose from her sheets and stretched her arms upward. She yawned loudly and pulled herself out of bed, picking up her phone to text her childhood friend next door. She sent a message asking if he was up yet before leaving to go shower. She took a quick shower and changed into a sweatshirt and jeans before running downstairs to make herself some food. As expected, her house was enpty. It wasn't a random thing, she was the youngest daughter of three and she was born a long time after her elder siblings. Her parents were constantly working and her brother and sister were already gone by the time she was awake. She made herself a piece of toast and ate silently.

Ooc: You're fine. Thoughts/Emotions: Mason eyes slowly opened as he looked at his ceiling as his phone blared from a text. He grabbed his phone and looked at the text message. It was from his best friend from next door. He chuckled as he gave a reply back. He got up out of bed and thought to himself as Mason had descended from his room towards the bathroom where he went to shower. But the moment he reach the door, there was a note. "We took your sister and left to explore the world. Hope you enjoy your summer. Love mom." Mason balled up the paper and threw it away as she went to shower up. After a while, he came out in a towel then went to his room. He rummage through his closet and puts on his white tank, black skinny jeans, a white snapback and black boots. Then he went to the front room to enjoy some cereal and tv.

Mia finished her food, smiling as she read her reply. She grabbed her bag and locked the door behind her as she left the house and went next door. She knocked on the door at first before grabbing a spare key under the mat and opening the door, "Mace?" she called as she entered. She saw him at the front eating some cereal. She smiled and sat beside him, resting her chin on her palm, "Morning." she said simply before turning her head at the tv, "Watcha watching?" she asked, not actually paying attention.

Ooc: Thoughts/Emotions: Mason was on his phone texting away, when he heard the door. It was his best friend Mia. "Oh hey." he spoke in response as he took another bite of his cereal. He looked at Mia then at the tv. "Eh nothing interesting.. you can change channels if you like." Mason answer back as the two just sat there. These two have been best friends since kindergarten. One day, Mason just showed up whenever recess came out. He seen a couple of guys bully her because of her hair and pale skin. So he took a basketball and hit them straight in the nose. They would yell and he would keep hitting them and they would run off. He looked at Mia and basically said "I don't like when guys pick on a girl.. let me know me know if they ever bother you again." Mason was even surprised that the two were neighbors but it never bothered him. So throughout their childhood, Mason would be hanging out with Mia despite him having a girlfriend. Even though Mia told him she was okay with it, sometimes Mason did ever wonder if she didn't like his girlfriend.

Mia flipped mindlessly through the channels as the two sat there silently. Since they were children, there was no one Mia could be more natural with than Mason. It was thanks to him that she was able to get over her self-consciousness. It was just her luck that Mason had snatched himself a girlfriend. It wasn't that she liked him that way, it just made him a little less available to hang out with. Sure, she had liked the boy romantically for half a year a long tome ago but she buried those feelings. She played with her hair, "Should I dye it? Someone at my workplace calls me carrot top and I've been beginning to consider it..." she said softly. It was only recently had Mia began to feel more self-conscious about her hair once again. She had been wondering whether or not she should just change her hair color to make it better, but she wasn't sure. She sighed, "Sooo.... Do we have a plan tonight? I was hoping we could have a shut-in today like we used to. You know, board games, movies, pizza and unhealthy snacks? It's supposed to rain today and my house is basically a ghost house." she suggested. It had been awhile since the two had time for each other.

Ooc: Thoughts/Emotions: Mason just looked at her the moment she mentioned her hair and thinking about dying it. "Mia you're perfectly fine. That's a unique shade of red so you should keep it." Mason spoke in response to her hair dilemma. He just got up and took his bowl to the sink to wash it. He went to the couch and sat there while he heard Mia asking about the plans for the night. "Hmm nothing that I know of.. but I guess we can do that. Besides my folks are gone for the summer anyway so you're always welcome here. Mason spoke before giving a smile. Then his phone rang. It was his girlfriend Hailey. Mason sighed as he got up and went to talk to her. Hailey knew that he was hanging with Mia and she did often get jealous and so they would often argue. Mason just told her that they would have a talk soon and hung up then went to sit down. "So what shall we watch?"

Mia bit her lip as he answered his phone. Mia could tell who it waz, and it was possible that it was about her. Mia hadn't actually liked Hailey, frankly she disliked her. But if her best friend liked her, she tried her best around her. She wondered if she was imposing. It was often that Mason had cancelled their plans for Hailey, and Mia always took it lightly. She had hoped that they could hang out today though. "Oh.... Was that Hailey? Sorry, if you had plans I could totally have a night in for myself." she suggested, showing no signs of her distress.

Ooc: Thoughts/Emotions: Mason had only nodded as an answer. "It's cool.. she always want me over there to hang but I already told her that I need my space and she needs to understand that.." Mason sighed as his phone started ringing. He looked at his phone again then pressed ignore. Then he puts his phone on silent so things wouldn't interrupt him hanging out with Mia. "I'm leaving her anyway so I rather not argue and say it out of anger.. She's just not that person I was attracted to anymore.. so.." Mason stated as he rubbed his hair and sighed. "But if you want to leave then that's fine.."

Mia felt a twinge of happiness as he declared he wasn't attracted to her anymore. She forced herself not to smile too brightly as she shook her head, "Of course I wouldn't! So, wanna go and buy some stuff now? junk food and all?" she asked, standing up. She was almost conpletely sure that she was gonna get in the middle of Hailey's "storm" when they broke up. She would certainly point the blame at Mia, and things would not be pleasent. She shrugged away the thought and focused on the day that was ahead of them. She was delighted to know that she had finally got a day to just hand out with her friend.

Ooc: Thoughts/Emotions: Mason smirked then went to his kitchen cabinet and pulled out a bunch of junk food. I"m way ahead of you.. just order the pizza." He replied as he tossed the bags of candy and snacks on the coffee table. The Mason went into the fridge and pulled out and couple large liters of soda for the two. "I took the liberty of buying everything before you ask me about hanging out." He spoke as he walked back to the couch and set the soda on the couch. Now he went in his room and took his game system and hooked it up in the living. His phone kept ringing. It was Hailey calling and texting him but he ignored it to focus on his time with Mia.
