B I B A X T Charismatic Loyal Well, it's a double-edged sword I'm afraid. On one hand, the other events make good inspiration for other events. But on the other hand, you may run into a problem where people may be busy participating in one event to do another. In any case, what if people who do NaNoWriMo write about Gaia? It can be the site itself, or it could be the developing world inside it. It would certainly help bring the two together, and there could be a sort of contest with judges that could read the entries, and they could be categorized (full novel, partial novel, fiction, non-fiction, etc.). Prizes could be given out, like book related prizes. I'm an idiot but what is NaNoWriMo? sweatdrop You're no idiot, cherie. It took me a while to figure out what it was as well. Here's a quote from Wiki: "National Novel Writing Month, shortened as NaNoWriMo (na-noh-ry-moh), is an annual internet-based creative writing project that takes place during the month of November. NaNoWriMo challenges participants to write 50,000 words of a new novel from November 1st until the deadline at 11:59PM on November 30th. The goal of NaNoWriMo is to get people writing and keep them motivated throughout the process. "

For writing contests, we could have book/paper/writing related items for prizes. I can try to offer a few in that regard. I still like the idea of artists coming up with a mini-comic series to fit the event. A seperate thread is probably needed so that we can get all the artists together to collaborate. Choose which artistic style will best fit, who will color, and who will sketch out the general plot of the comic so the lineart person knows what general direction to take it in. Perhaps it will be three minicomics. One for the beginning of the event, middle, and end, once the winners of the writing contest have been announced?

I think that seperating it into a three part mini comic is a great idea!Your right it does need organizing...hmm perhaps make a thread here in the event forum or the other forum where slick has people posting their artistic services?
We definitely need to do some hard core fundraising for the guild to gather up some gold to buy prizes/give away. I wonder what's the best way to go about that?I'm very lackluster with monetary issues :L
