Whelp. Thank Gaia. I will never purchase another gold shop item again, in all likelihood, as I have not purchased cash in a year and a half now. Just wow. The funny thing is I stopped buying cash on a lark. When I came back from abroad last July (I was only gone a little over a month) I saw how many cash shop announcements there were. Like, one every two-three days. I thought it was unusually excessive (how naive I was!) and went: "I'm not going to buy my collectible until they go a week without pushing cash." then, "Five days.", "Four", "Three?", "Seriously Gaia?"
It was the beginning of the end. True to my word I've not spend a cent since that day.

SeiyaMihara Have you seen the 'new' HRW shop? They've gone back and re-priced all the items. Remember those 100G undies? They're now 35K. Enjoy.

I figured all gold shop items would start getting raised up. When you can sell a free piece of paper from Towns for over 1 million g, it's like the gold shop stuff is free in comparison. I think I'm starting to learn my way around the new economy. When I got back on a few weeks ago I had just over 500k, now I have 4 billion. All the items I've sold are mostly junk from DC and Towns.

SeiyaMihara Yeah, I have 22 mil. That's it. That was from right before the economy really inflated. >_< I haven't been active on the markets, buying or selling, since then. I see no reason to. With the way things are going I could sell something today and tomorrow couldn't afford the same item with the money I sold it for. The longer I wait, the more valuable, and consequently useless the gold is. Thank god my account is old enough I pretty much have everything I could reasonably need.

Life moves on and things change, not always for the better. I kind of wish the new management would just get bored and leave. Then a new team can come in and actually get s**t done. Work on the old features and stop flooding us with useless ish.

It cracks me up how they don't respond to the multiple threads on the same issues in SF but the moment something unfavorable comes to light they delete threads or ban accounts. The l33tgate thing was interesting. It literally proves that the admins are dumping illegal (gold they generated from nothing) into the economy and buying things from users. They're also magicking things into existence to sell. The whole tipping point, ironically, came when they bought an item for a ridiculous price from a user who only posted the item so others could see it. No one had that much gold. Yet an admin account, later linked to said admin, that was only a few weeks old or sommat had enough to pay for it.
This thread is just full of admin excuses.
What makes me sad these days is that all I can do is complain about Gaia. I can't, like, chat about that cool new feature, update or thread. Nothing is cool anymore because it's all dated and tanking. >_<

SeiyaMihara Dudette, I saw your avi and, for a brief moment, my heart actually lightened because I thought they were event items. Like, new ones. xD Silly me. As though they do anything close to the old, free fun events of the past. Only more cash shop items and kickstarters.

I am holding out hope for a good Halloween event. 3nodding I've got way old school grab bags in my storage. I was surprised to see they weren't going for more in the MP.
