Alland was populated mostly out of farmers when the Nazi invaded, they wanted to fight but lacking any power they asked others scandinavian countries such as Norway and Sweden for help, but they couldn't afford sending their soldiers to help, they did however lend weapons to the farmers who bravely fought back the incoming nazi army to the point the nazis had to raise the white flag.
Little did they know, those farmers knew nothing about military customs, that includes the "surrender" white flag; the nazis thought the inhabitants to be crazy and bloodthirsty. It was until a few stationary soldiers intervened and explained that Alland's invaders had surrendered that the folk stopped their shooting.
