“It’s so hot…..” No one else seemed to be around. “I won’t get any patrons this way……” He sighed, blowing his dark, black bangs out of his eyes revealing misty blue-green orbs that scanned the horizon for signs of life. He blinked a few times…still no one was there.
He was right. The heat had caused most of the others to scatter and take shelter in dark places, and the ones that remained didn’t seem like they were looking to make wishes and dreams come true. “All this sun must be making everyone irritable…”
As he grumbled about the weather, he began to fan himself with his wings. It was all he could think of to keep himself cool. “Maybe I should make a doll and wish for a little bit of rain…” he said, a small smile slowly forming on his face. “Not too much. Just enough to cool everyone off…”
He firmly believed his dolls worked as long as the wish was one with good intentions from a sincere heart. He decided to stop his search and begin work. And hopefully someone would eventually come along to keep him company.

 Estrella grimaced at the heat of the sun, having never gotten used to the wretched thing. Having been born and raised in a cave, she was used to colder temperatures. Her tail flipped in agitation, hands wringing together. Today was a slow day, having no one to train and nothing to do except travel, which was growing increasingly boring throughout the months. She was tired of being alone, to be honest, and returning home was not an option. It never was. She would not return to that hell-hole, not even if she was paid.
So, she was stuck trying to make a new home, yet she couldn't do it alone. She didn't know what she wanted, but she knew she didn't want an empty house. Traveling at least suggested she'd meet a person here and there. If she settled, she may never see another living soul.
Her mouth tightened as she walked, hearing movement nearby. Tail flipping against her side, she adopted a faster pace, spotting the dark-haired male almost immediately. A male. Cutting back the sharp bark that wanted to alert the male of not only her presence but also dominance, she had to smother down the attitude that had been beaten into her for years. Having been raised in not only a society where male were inferior but also often servants, Estrella was actively trying to remove that side of her associated with her past. She wanted to treat men as equal, and yet it was hard due to her childhood and past years.
"Excuse me." She gently called, approaching the male. "Do you perhaps have any water on you?"
