She loved the heat. Ildraku stretches out on her sun baked rock and sighed in bliss. She reflected back on her journey to get here through forest, march, bog, and tundra. None of them had been particular appealing. Especially not the cold, wet places. Here the wind blew hot and dry almost all the time. She enjoyed the occasional downpour and the live that followed it.
The female stretched again and debated hunting. It was still a bit too warm to actually be moving, so she sighed contentedly and laid her head back down. Bright crimson eyes were slitted against the last glares of the sun.

Aidan's paws struggled to find an easy way to stand proudly as the sands under his paws continued to shift under his weight, his eyes narrowed slightly, the pale minty hue narrowed into tiny slits.
Well, this was definitely not the forest he grew up in, and that was part of the reason he was here. He wanted to walk all parts before deciding where he belonged, truly belonged, the hunter within him caught the scent of another as the hot breeze kicked up, head moving up he looked for the owner of it.
"Who else is out and about in this barren place?" He called out.

A voice called upon the wind. Sometimes the winds spoke in their own voices. Sometimes they answered; other times they remained silent. 'Draku lifted her head and considered. Did she call out and see if the wind answered back? Eventually she decided she would play along.
"Only fools travel in this time of day." It was true. If she got too hot she had her nice caves to duck into and cool off. Though that didn't happen often, she did retreated in there during the peak of the day when the sun and winds could even do her harm. She cocked an ear to see if the wind would play today.

He paused and blinked a few times, did this responding voice just call him a fool?! He couldnt believe it, he had climbed some of the highest mountains with ease, and found joy in some of the most humid and thick jungles and now...he was being called a fool! Oh well, that certainly would no do!
With holding his response, he used his tracking skills and followed the scent, that lead him to a female sunning herself, his movements were stealthy even in a land he was unfamiliar with.
"Calling strangers a fool can be dangerous to ones health." He said from behind her, mint hued eyes dancing.

Ovarian Paint 5 or 6 she succeeds in noticing him. Movement flickered among the heat haze. Draku realized there had been an actual critter out there talking into the wind. She waited until he got close, then sat up. As dark as he was, she was surprised he hadn't collapsed yet.
"It's only dangerous if the one hearing it can't handle hearing the truth." Draku looked him up and down. "So tell me dark stranger, can you handle hearing the truth about yourself?" She wondered if he'd ever traveled in the desert for or had just gotten lucky.
