There was nothing better than a good lie-in.
Hennory stretched languorously, one arm instinctively reaching out towards the other side of his bed, only to find it empty. It made sense that it’d be the case; Mei’s days off did not necessarily always coincide with his own. But she was long, LONG gone. How late was it, anyways?
His hair a gnarled mess, several strands having come loose from a halfhearted braid. The wrinkled pair of slacks were just as disheveled as the rest of his appearance that he haphazardly donned. Sandals were donned on the wrong feet initially, corrected halfway down the hall. He hadn’t been able to find a tunic and opted to put on a vest.
The true testament of the time was the fact that the dining area was completely deserted. However, the lone jug of klah and stack of meatrolls for the late riser called his name, trudging forth like a drunk trundlebug to fix himself a mug of rejuvenating.. and slightly lukewarm liquid.

T'rel as also headed towards the jug of klah, seeming half asleep. The man had stayed up late into the night worrying about his weyrmate. After all, his own mother had died soon after his birth: what if Lute did the same? He couldn't lose her, not so soon after losing his dearest friend during the earthquake. He didn't think he would be able to pull through if he lost Lute. Or the baby. Babies! The dolphins had said babies. Plural! Two, in fact. The very thought had him panicking.
No, sleep had not come easy. He nearly bumped into Hennory, muttering an apology, before seeming to realize who he'd nearly collided with. "Sorry, sorry!" He managed, eyes wide. "Hennory, shouldn't you be in drills?" He teased. "You look terrible. C'mon, let's head to the kitchens. They always have hot klah on hand." In case a sleepy dragonrider needed a boost.
