Esabel stirred at Wolfe’s insistance and looked over the group briefly, her dark eyes settling on Emilia. Admittedly, the woman probably hated what Esabel and Wolfe had done to her before but in their defense, they had no way of knowing if the woman had been part of the plot to kill Esabel and Ilea, and Wolfe by default since he was with Esabel.
She finally pushed to stand on her own and rubbed at her eyes briefly, “If’n you don’t like Esabel no more, Emilia… I’ll understand… But you’s need to come with for the tour anyway. You only got to look around a little bit an’ Esabel can show you places that no one else would think of,” she said softly, “An’ Esabel can introduce you to peoples you’ll need to know,” she added, knowing that the introductions would be even more invaluable to them.
Now, though, she started to wander through the lab, unable to resist touching things here and there along the way, “This was Daddy Gin’s lab… Esabel made it for him when we moved here…” she commented in a soft tone as she moved along. It wasn’t hard to figure out what they were moving in compared to what had already been there.
The lab had been state of the art and in almost pristine condition – minus the dust from lack of use. Gin hadn’t been able to use the lab for a whole lot before he’d died, but the care and attention to detail showed how much she’d cared for the insanely demented Gin. She’d been a true daughter of his black heart…
“He didn’t get to use the lab much, though…” she finally said before she turned to look at Emilia in particular for a silent moment then turned and headed back to Wolfe, “Come on. Esabel’ll show you’s all around while I gots the energy for it,” she finished as she took Wolfe’s hand to lead them all around the base.
The actual tour wasn’t that complicated. She and Wolfe showed them the important locations and Esabel made the introductions that were beyond invaluable. She finished the tour with a visit to some place that Wolfe had never seen, though Emilia had visited at least once: The Pillow Room…
