xxxxxConfident: Natesa always appears confident, even when she may not feel like it. It's part of her believing that if you have the right frame of mind, anything can be accomplished. She simply believes that if she appears confident, then she will be. This often manifests in the tone of her voice, coming off as strong, or her body language with good posture and a strong appearance.
xxxxxAdventurous/Brave: Natesa is not afraid to try new things! If she likes it, great! If she doesn't, she'll have to try it again to make sure! Her constant appearance of confidence often forces her into things she might not have wanted to try, but didn't want to appear weak and afraid so she tries them anyway. Her bravery tends to lead her to be in the forefront of whatever may be happening. Even joining in on things she might not supposed to be joining in on. If there's something going on, you can almost bet Natesa is involved somehow.
xxxxxSpontaneous: Tending to be more spontaneous, Natesa isn't really one to make plans for the future. In a world so full of people and things, it would be difficult to actually make plans. It's more fun to be spontaneous and it means she gets to have more adventures!
xxxxxFake: In a way, Natesa might be considered fake, but that is only because she doesn't let others know what she's really feeling. She often puts out a front (her confidence) and will keep any feelings she has to herself. Unfortunately, though, they tend to bottle up and if reaches the tipping point, may go off on someone when she doesn't mean to.
xxxxxAgreeable: She's really a very agreeable person despite keeping her feelings to herself. She makes friends easy and always appears happy. She laughs easily and is very sociable. Just don't ask what she thinks and expect a truthful answer. Others may say she has a lot of friends and is a very outgoing person. While in her mind, she has a lot of acquaintances and very few friends. There are very few people that she trusts completely so most of the people she meets will be considered acquaintances. She'll have a little more connection with weyrbrats who's parents left them like hers did. They're more likely to be the ones she considers friends than others who grew up with loving parents. She might even envy them! Not that she'd let them know, of course.
xxxxxInsincere: Natesa may not always tell the truth when people ask her opinion or especially how she's doing. Sometimes the little lies make life better for everyone. However, she's not untrustworthy. She'd keep your secrets until the end of time, just don't expect her to tell you all of her secrets!
xxxxxNatural Leader: With her confidence, Natesa tends to be a natural leader. She'll often be the one taking charge either because others see her as a leader or because she knows what she's doing. She may not always want the leadership role, but if she's in it, she'll enjoy it and do her best. She respects authority, as she knows without it, the whole weyr wouldn't function correctly. She respects her elders but also has a little resentment for all the riders who do as her parents, and leave their children to the cretch workers.
Physical Description: Rather tall at 5'6, Nate has a slim body and without looking at her face might be mistaken for a boy. Her hair is just past shoulder length and is light brown and wavy, she often pulls it back in a pony tail out of the way. Her face is long and skinny, but with a strong jaw and brow and she often has a determined and confident look on her face. Her plain brown eyes never betray the emotion she never lets people know she feels. Her lips are actually quite luscious and large yet are generally in a small smirk.
History: Born in the weyr, Natesa has few memories of her parents. Being raised by the cretch workers kept her happy and healthy enough, but there was no real loving relationship between them. Nate noticed early on that if you cried or whined, you would probably not get what you wanted. It was better if you were the easy child who didn't make a fuss and they tended to let you do what you wanted. Wanting the freedom more, she would bottle up her emotions so that she wouldn't get reprimanded for anything and would really escape all of the workers attention. Not having a relationship with her parents definitely helped with this bottling up. Sure it was common for riders to just leave their children to the hands of the weyr, but was it because her parents were too busy or because she wasn't good enough? If any were to get close enough for her to open up, she'd tell them that she was better off that she didn't know her biological parents, but inside, she really craved that parent/child relationship. What helps her when thinking about her parents, is knowing that some day, (she hopes) she'll impress a dragon and that'll be the only relationship that will truly matter. Her parents left somewhat of a bad taste in her mouth as far as relationships go. Natesa doesn't really see herself as one who would settle down. But if the weyr required her to pass on her genes she would. And she vowed to herself she wouldn't just abandon her child, she'd do what she could to help raise them in any way she could.
Some may say she has anger issues, since when she does show emotion, is all of the negative feelings she's kept bottled up inside. Her one outlet, though, is drawing. Any time she can, she'll take some "me" time and draw various things. A few of them might be violent if something really terrible happened to her or if someone really annoyed her, but she won't really wish for any of it to actually happen. It probably doesn't need to be said, but no one will be allowed to look at her notebook. It's the expression of all her emotions and is her one treasured belonging. If anything were to happen to this notebook, however, all hell might break loose. If there was any indication of who had it, they would be in a load of trouble with her. But if she had no clue, she might continue on with her daily life and have a LOT more outbursts than normal as she wouldn't have her outlet. Of late, a lot of the drawings are of dragons. She's stood for a few of the clutches but none of the dragons had impressed on her. It makes her worried about her age and how much time she has left, but she'll continue on with her smirk and confidence in the meantime.
