"No! I'm not! That really hurt."
The first words had been snapped...but they quickly turned into a whine as the wolf managed to make it back fully to his feet. He eyed the other one warily..wondering how he was going to make a profit off a creature that smacked him with a mace.
So rude! This was supposed to be easy...not painful.

"Well! I asked you to put me down!" the unicorn huffed back at him. There was a tone of indignity. She certainly didn't appreciate the potato sack treatment.
"If you had listened you wouldn't be hurt now would you?" crossing her arms, she huffed for a moment. It was not to last long, however, as her eyes turned back to her mace.
Ah yes, best not to leave that on the ground too long. This other audio certainly seemed to have no problem taking things that weren't his. With a few quick steps, she made her way over towards the weapon.
"Perhaps that will teach you to listen." the guilt was still weighing heavily on her shoulders as her hand reached out for the mace. Maybe she could have been a little gentler.

"Oh cmon! I didn't do anything that hurt you! ..I don't think. Did I? I didn't MEAN to hurt you if I did! But you definitely tried to hurt me! And it worked."
He was still whining, ears pinned back and a rather large pout on his maw. It wasn't like he had -tried- to hurt the Unicorn. Maybe it was a bit rude to just carry her off.... maybe. But she was the worst of the two with her mace! That was just mean.

"There is no good excuse for what you did and I asked several times for you to put me on the ground! It was my last option." her fingers wrapped around the handle of her mace, fingers enjoying the familiar texture of the worn metal.
"Of course it worked." she huffed in retort, her tail swatting angrily behind her.
"It's a mace. What on earth were you carrying me for anyway?"

"I'm a thief duh! I was -obviously- carting you off because you are a rare and...possibly extremely valuable unicorn! But I was really starting to actually -like- you and rethink that....until you hit me that is!"
Riker just folded his arms across his chest and hrmphed at the other. His tail gave irritated little flick, occasionally brushing against the backs of his legs to check for blood.
Ugh.

"Oh... well that's kinda n-" pause. "WAIT WHAT? You wanted to sell me!?" And there melted away any sympathy she had previously mustered for hitting him with the mace.
"Being a unicorn doesn't put you in a position to just nab me for sale you know." a hand instinctively reached up to her horn. "I'd rather keep this attached to my head, thank you." Maia had heard stories, in the past, of others coming to these places and losing their horns. They'd been told to her as a child, she'd always supposed (when she was older) to keep her from wandering too far away from her family.
Perhaps there was some bearing to those tales however. She cared little to find out.

"I DID want to sell you, now I'm not so sure.. Like I said, I was starting to actually like you! And I could use a friend...but friends shouldn't hit friends with maces. Oh, and by the way? Being a unicorn doesn't automatically put you in a position to -not- be for sale either. That line of thinking goes both ways!"
Riker was a thief.

"You do realize that's kidnapping right?" her lips formed a thin line on her face. It didn't last long though, since despite her moral outrage at the entire situation, she was starting to draw a picture of someone who... may be rather lonely.
"Ugh ... look I'm sorry that I hit you with the mace, but maybe next time someone yanks on your hair and demands to be put down about half a dozen times first, you should, you know, put them down?" the unicorn strapped the mace to her hip once more.
"If we're going to be friends, you can't try to sell me, or my things. Because if friends don't hit friends with maces, you can't steal from or kidnap them either."

"How can it be kidnapping if you aren't a kid? Wouldn't it be unicornnapping? ...Uninapping? ...Cornnapping? ...Nah, there isn't much money in corn. Hrmm..."
Riker was lost in his own thoughts for a moment, before he suddenly heard the unicorn talk about being friends. At that he snapped out of his daze, perked up, and even gave a bit of a tail wag.
"Alright alright -fine-. No stealing..if there's no mace hitting. I suppose I can live with that.."
He'd find something else to steal eventually.

Did he just say cornnapping? What the..
"Good. I am glad we can come to this arrangement. Now... where exactly were you heading too anyway?" the unicorn, now feeling safe from being hauled off to some sort of unicorn auction, took to smoothing out her dress and hair. Dust fell off her as she did and she used the end of her tail to get the lower parts near to the ground.

"Huh." was all Maia came back with, easily ignoring his 'cool' comment. No need to burst his ego any further down than her mace had already done. Kudos to him for still even being able to walk, to be frank.
"I suppose you can just follow along with me then, if you aren't going in any particular direction." offering she motioned in the other direction of the path. The way she'd been looking to go to begin with before he'd gotten her all turned around.
