It felt so good to stretch. Bazzite was very proud of his General-King, very proud of his faction as a whole. The Rift had become much too big for containment and was spilling out into the real world and, being that his precious blonde had ascended to near godhood, the youma could come and go as he pleased. Soon the Rift would devour anything and everything in its path, allowing the youma long trapped beneath the Earth to roam free again. The ecosystem would change permanently. Would human survive? Maybe. Youma could sustain themselves on the energy of the Rift itself almost indefinitely. Would the corrupted senshi of Chaos survive? Only if Bazzite could help it. Hypnos had a special place in his heart. She was a kind soul who finally saw the truth and Bazzite considered her a very close friend. He stuck by her side not only at Benitoite's orders, but of his own volition. Death came to those who opposed Hypnos and it was slow and painful. Bazzite reveled in devouring the enemies of his precious friends. He cared little for the small resistance the dwindling forces of Order could muster so long as he could snuggle into the crook of Hypnos' neck and nap peacefully while real wind would rustle his hair. Bazzite had stretched himself out across an abandoned business in the remnants of downtown Destiny City, the epicenter of all the happenings on Earth. The youma lay on his stomach, head propped up by hands with elbows resting on the rooftop. The land was quiet now and the peace of nighttime would not last long. His wings buzzed in short bursts, the low frequency humming a dead giveaway for his position, but who would dare threaten a General-King's youma? No one. And so Bazzite had put out an invitation for stargazing for his favorite senshi and awaited her arrival.

Hypnos might have forgotten a lot of memories when she lost her life as Ainsley but none of her memories of Bazzite had disappeared due to the fact her relationship with him had only ever been as Hypnos. She had never met him in any other from than the senshi of sleep, and because of that she could look at him with the same eyes she always did. There was no wall in her way. She could remember it all, and that drew her closer to him than others she might have been previously attached to.
She received his invitation and dropped everything to answer it. There were very few she would do this for now and Bazzite was one of them. He held a special place in her heart and it seemed that fate was only trying to strengthen their bonds even further now that half of her heart was erased that had otherwise been reserved for another.
It didn't take her long to arrive, her body forming suddenly in a previously empty space on the rooftop nearby Bazzite. Teleporting might not replace the ability to go to her asteroid but it was a lot more convenient than going to space was. Instead of going to an abandoned and dead asteroid once a week, she could make a shopping trip to Milan or have breakfast in France if the fancy hit her. Most of all, it made traveling across the city suddenly and getting up to the roof much easier.
"I'm sorry I can't take you to space for some real stargazing," she announced apologetically as she slide up next to him, squatting down so that they were eye level, before sitting down next to him. She carefully began fixing the creases in her skirt, laying them flat over her thighs as she sat more on her side toward Bazzite than her rear. A corrupt lady was still a lady!

Bazzite's wings buzzed happily at her appearance. If he had a tail, it would have wagged like a puppy dog's. "Space isn't all it's cracked up to be." was his reply, voice still odd and metallic. It had not changed one bit in the six years he'd been a monster, even despite his physical changes since the ascension of his master. "Here is much better! Here has you, Hypnos." The youma leaned in such a way as to cuddle the young lady, wrapping around her like a house cat. "The stuff out there is dead anyway." The locust beast lifted his head then to bury his face in Hypnos' hair. She always smelled of nighttime, of moon blossoms and fading dreams. The dark colors of her fuku really suited her and Bazzite was never one for bright colors himself. "How have things been treating you, Hypnos? They better be treating you well in the ranks... if they don't, you know you can tell Beni. He'll give the order and I'll eat 'em for insubordination. I bet they'd be tasty...." Youma never did have any qualms about devouring their own. Indeed, many a lieutenant and even some captains were lost forever to the youma that resided in the Rift.

Hypnos had long since adjusted to Bazzite's appearance as a youma, and it no longer unsettled her the way it used to when she had first discovered him as a chibi senshi. The physical changes that had followed since the upgrade of Benitoite from General to General-King left Hypnos more with admiration than anything else at this point. She was happy her friend was growing stronger when the growing number of royalty against him had grown over the years as well.
"You flatter me," she said softly, a small blush of red spreading across her face as he complimented her.
Her hand slid across the youma's head as he moved in to cuddle, running her fingers through his hair quite ginderly. She remembered that Bazzite was once human, never quite forgetting the story he told her about his history when they had met. She found herself wondering if his hair had always been this soft, twirling a strand of his hair in between her fingers. Was it always this colour? Or had this too changed with his transformation?
"I've met no issues yet," she said, a laugh slipping through her lips when he threatened to eat them for insubordination. It might have been a strange thing to say, and a strange thing to laugh at, but she was happy that he would do such a thing for her.
"Do you promise?" She teased as a big grin spread across her lips and her arm tugged his arm lightly as she leaned into him. She was possibly one of the only senshi who'd ever take a youma's promise seriously, even after all the things she had seen over these years. She believed Bazzite was her friend but she also had no delusions about the blood on his hands now.
He could have killed her any time he wanted, and the fact he had not, spoke oceans to Hypnos. Maybe he didn't feel the same things Hypnos did, but the fact he believed her important enough not to have killed after all these years of putting her trust in him was enough for her.

"Some youma might lie, but I don't. If I say I'm going to eat someone..." Bazzite opened his mouth and bit down, making a throaty click sound with his jaw. "...then they're on the menu, no ifs, ands or buts about it." The youma never claimed to be a terribly picky eater and, to him, a powered starseed was a powered starseed, regardless of how much Chaos it did or didn't have. Benitoite's order would have Bazzite devouring whole groups of Lieutenants if necessary. Now that he was a General-King's youma, Captains and even Generals themselves could be considered on the menu, as it were. "Promise." When not spending time by his General-King's side, Bazzite enjoyed a degree of freedom and independence that was a rarity among youma. He could choose who to protect when not following the blonde, and for Hypnos? She was a very special someone. "Besides, why wouldn't I protect you? There aren't that many special people in the Negaverse. Most of them are faceless goons, but you? You're extra special. You're like Beni to me, but smaller and I can squish your cheeks without you yelling at me." Bazzite chuckled, his wings vibrating.
