History:
Before he found himself in this strange new world Kai was a private detective. He solved cases, saved lives and drank an awful lot of whiskey. His life hadn't always been so glorious of course. His father was a banker and his mother a fashionista, neither of which had much time for a boy obsessed with crimefighters and superheroes. Turns out life wasn't exactly as perfect as all those comic books had led him to believe. Go figure.

Personality:
Kai is a strategist at heart. He thinks everything through and is usually a few steps ahead of the rest. However he has a tendency to overthink quite simple things which often leads to him getting blindsided. He also doesn't have a clue when it comes to women which has landed him in hot water more than once.

History:
Reaper. Valkyrie. Psychopomp. These are but a few of the names used to describe Death's personifications across cultures and history. In her world, Voivoda had such a job; to ferry the souls of the recently deceased to the afterlife. For aeons she was destined to such an existence, unable to remember her mortal life, or if she ever had been alive to begin with. Then came one fateful day. A young woman was dying of illness, and Voivoda had come to retrieve her soul. Yet the strong will of the sick woman not at all ready to pass on rendered Voivoda's task difficult, and before she even knew what was happening she found herself transported in a strange, unfamiliar world now inhabiting the body of the woman who was supposed to die. Stripped of her powers and trapped inside of a mortal vessel, Voivoda has no choice but to adapt. Yet living as flesh and blood again has made her realize that perhaps she doesn't want to go back to being immortal...

Personality:
Voivoda's moods are as capricious as Death itself. One moment she is brooding and contemplative, the next filled with wonder and excitement. She can be blunt one day, vague and cryptic the next, cynical in the morning but sentimental by evening. Her behavior may seem odd or off-putting, particularly her attitude about death which she views as a necessary part of life. Voivoda has a strong aversion to fire, possibly due to something that happened in her past life.

Age:
Her age is not quantifiable, nor has her existence followed a linear pattern. Her present incarnation has the appearance of a young woman.

Like above, such mortal concepts are trivial to her. However, she presently identifies as female to correspond with the vessel she inhabits.

Name: Shirukuyashi

Class: Black mage

Background:
Shirukuyashi, or Shiruku to her friends, hails from the eastern desert nomads. Her life was a hard one, battling against the elements and the wildlife each day to survive. The days were a blazing firestorm and the nights were a frigid wasteland. Nothing was free and she lived each day with the knowledge that it may be her last. Her best hope was to find another nomad strong enough that they may guard each others backs and live to old age together. Now however she finds herself in a strange new world with green as far as the eye can see. Only time will tell what this means.

Personality:
Shiruku is a strong and proud woman who never backs down from a challenge. Unfortunately she also has a bit of a temper and this tends to land her in hot water when she lets it get the best of her. She can also be extremely stubborn, which generally isn't the best mix. However for these faults she is honest, brave and loyal to her friends and family.
