First post Ikaku nooooooo we need your baldness what's kubo got against the hairless first Yama now ikaku lol just kidding but seriously was kinda hoping for a new zombie rather then another death lol
Also, excited to see Mayuri in a good fight - He's really not that powerful, it's just that they've put him in fights that are really good for him, where he can analyze and easily defeat the opponent's abilities. I like that he's being put against a more straight-up fighter this time.

Ahh no! Ikkaku is one of my top ten characters, I'd hate to see him die..... I'll be heart broken if Yumichika dies.... (Top Ten as well) I think he might get a sneak attack on Hitsugaya's as revenge for Ikkaku. (If he can still move that is or if he's alive if anyone's confused I mean Yumichika.)
I think really to see Gin though I think that might demean his death or perhaps Espada like Nnoitra (I think out off all the arrancar he has the best chance of coming back)
Honestly for some reason this chapter felt really short.
I'm not a huge fan of Grimmjow I like him though and I really want to see him come back but I think Kubo's gonna hold off until chapter 600.

Yes bring back Nnoitra! I would like to see him alive well sorta alive again.
And I know it would make Gin's death less honrable but I feel like rangiku will arrive maybe as zombie I don't remember when we last saw her, and mayuri will summon gin who has to fight toshiro, while mayuri fights the Z Sternritter (totally forgot her name) and if we really did lose Ikkaku that's a shame so hopefully we won't lose Yumi.
Still a chance the Toshiro could be a fake but I honestly don't care if he died or not I was never really that interested in him though I like his character design though especially in the Quincy outfit.

Grimmjows is easily in my top two (Obviously) and I have tried to rationalize how kubo would bring him out if he were still alive but I keep coming to the same disappointed conclusion. Grimmjows may not be dead, but if he were, Mayuri would have brought him to the front lines by now if he restored him. If he were alive, I think he would be extremely reluctant to hop off to Soul Society to back up.sone shinigami unless enticed into it. Highly unlikely

The entire time I was reading this chapter I kept thinking: "Orihime's going to have her work cut out for her when this is all over."

I know he's not dead as it's been confirmed by Kubo he's alive and I can't really think of anyone else who could have saved Urahara in Hueco Mundo and plus we were teased a while back again with his appearance never saw his face but he was obviously Grimmjow, I honestly think he might intervene in the the fight with Rukia and Renji vs Bazz B since they left that on a cliff hanger. And the reason I say chapter 600 is because I believe Kubo wants to do it as a little celebration for the 600th chapter.

Is it ever explicitly stated in the manga or anime what happens when a Shinigami dies? I looked it up but I wasn't sure if the answer I found was a fan theory or not. To elaborate: what I found stated that when a Shinigami dies they are reborn as a human with no memories of their previous life/lives.
