It had always been Opal and Onyx's dream to open up their neighborhood to be a Negaverse friendly zone. They owned a bar there, the Lock and Key, and lived below the place in a basement apartment. They used their powers to undermine the businesses around them making them uninhabitable, shall we say, for those that were not part of their Nega family. They didn't directly attack or hurt those people, oh no, only made it rather clear that they were probably better off elsewhere.
Once the new Mayor seized control they were more open with their efforts, clearing out an entire city block around their bar and offering it to Negaverse control. They retain control of their bar but it is always open to fellow officers. In fact, Destiny prefers to keep it Negaverse only in her clientele but civilians are necessary, too, and if some get tispy and want to offer more than their required energy donation? Well, so much the better.
The bar has a middling crowd right now but it's still early in the evening.

Bars were Earth. Dirty, noisy, small. Little souls seeking or forgetting. Jabberwock didn’t like them, not usually. He preferred Heaven: cold metal, hot exhaust, hard plastics, all in his tech office. But finding, interacting, socializing, it was encouraged. For the team. The team gave him Heaven, so he gave them… him. The gods asked he soul-seek, so here he was, on friendly earth.
He entered the bar, long, shaggy green ponytail lightly trailing the ground behind him. A glance around and he perched on an empty stool at the end, absent-mindedly tugging his hair to drape across his lap. Although powered-up Negaverse agents were a more common sight, he still seemed a bit out of place, and confused too.
“ … drink? I should drink? Soda, juice, mixed? No wine; devil’s juice.”
Wine Senshi, fruit Senshi, water Senshi; he didn’t want to drink them. Not alone, not sole, might kill from inside. But mix them up, dilute the power, that was good. And soda too; no Soda Senshi.
He squinted at the woman behind the bar with a moment of fleeting suspicion. She was pretty, and woman, and not-old, like many Senshi. This was rumored friendly-ground, but best to ask and know.
“ You are in the ‘verse? Support the good?”

Opal winked and looked rather pleased with herself for the Firefly reference, though it matched the question as well. There were subtle hints through the bar to give away its association but she was always proud to admit it aloud as well. What did she have to be afraid of now? She was one of the few that didn't believe in hiding even from the very beginning. Opal approached 35 with budding hope that real change would be made to last beyond her lifetime.
"So what did you decide on?"
She didn't let the senshi bother her anymore, or pesky knights. She was free to be as ruthless as she wanted to be and was even rewarded for it. How could life get any better? She didn't like selling soda or juice in a bar but, hell, some people were strange.

The way she said that, it was familiar. Shiny was good. Shiny was space? Spaceship. Yes, shiny-space-spaceship. In the TV; Jabberwock watched a lot of TV.
“ No power in the ‘verse can stop me!” he said happily, then blinked at her question, looking unsure again. “ Um… Coke? With rum? Little bit.”
He held his index fingers close together in front of his nose, attempting to indicate that he only wanted a little rum in his coke, not a little drink, but communication was not Jabberwock’s strong suit. Who knew if the bartender would understand him. She hadn’t looked at him funny yet though, so that was good. Some people him gave him funny looks, or impatient sounds, or even mean words. Mean words weren’t oft-repeated though; them he kissed with little black hearts, 'verse or no.
" You, mmm, you like spaceships? Spaceship shows? Have a favorite?"

It was nice when people caught on to Destiny's references. She made them often to patrons, her own proud display of nerd. Not as many picked up her dutiful tributes as he did but that was ok. She was in good company right now and for that she was thankful. As if she needed another reason to be happy in this Negaverse for all world. And on that note he seemed to be on the right side, too.
"Right," she grinned. "Rum and coke coming up."
She usually bumped up fellow Negas to top shelf without asking and he was no exception. She grabbed a good spiced rum and poured it over ice before topping it off with coke from the tap. She slid it across the bar to him, smiling to herself. It was light, for her drink making.
"Firefly comes to mind. Call me a fan of Joss Whedon's work."
There was so much about that show in particular that she loved that it was hard to explain it all.
"What about you?"
