Name: Harvey Borgnino
Age: 33
Gender: male
Height: 5' 5"
Body type: adult (He has a scar over his left eye that is diagonal and goes through his eyebrow and down onto his cheek away from his nose, I think it'd make it a left slant)
Facial expression: serious
Hair: Black hair that has blue highlights from being so dark. Long hair kept in a ponytail (if possible have the pontytail over his shoulder)
Eye color: Pale, icy blue in right eye, left is more of a milky white color due to scarring. (He is blind in his left eye)
Skin color: Tan
Profession: Baker and Fencing instructor
Casual outfit:
• Has a dark blue/black scarf that fades to bright blue covering his left eye. Like this *it's the scarf from Inari Beads*
• a white button up shirt
• dark blue vest that is done up
• black pants that are tucked into knee high boots
• A sabre at his waist (if possible to do so)

Personality:
A serious and noble guy. Harvey is very much a gentleman. It is ladies first and men must fight for a lady's honor. Sometimes this can lead to problems as he will butt into someone else's business if he fears a lady is in trouble.

Harvey is also pretty quiet and doesn't talk much unless someone else prompts him to. He is this way as he learned that talking back to his father gets him nowhere so he just doesn't talk much.

He's quite smart as he was educated by his father after he finished school. He also helps his father teach younger kids and keeps to the family art of fencing. He practices everyday and even with being blind in one eye still teaches young nobles or rich people how to fence.

He used to be more open and friendly when his sister was still around. He had many friends, most were fellow fencing student or people he was teaching. However after his sister's death he began to shut down and drifted away from his friends. While teaching he now appears to be cold and almost uncaring but that is mostly due to him shutting down his emotions as many people try to bring up his duel where he was injured. He had previously 'blown up' on a student was was spreading horrible rumors about his failed duel and was heavily reprimanded by his father. Now he just ignores all rumors and taunts.

He seems more friendly and warm while he is working at his mother's bakery. This is because he knows the people there and is comfortable with them. They also understand why he has changed so much and don't really blame him or criticize or pressure him like his father does. It also helps that he really loves baking and wants to be a baker full time and forget all about his lineage.

History:
The Borgnino family used to be nobles, particularly Dukes/Duchesses. However Harvey's great-great-great-great-great grandfather committed a crime against the crown (a crime which will not be disclosed at this time) that the king had the entire family stripped of their lands and title. Thus the family became normal citizens and had to moved to Shiganshina.

This disgrace has always bothered each generation of the family and they have tried to marry back into nobility. However all nobles turned them away and refused to marry any daughters or sons to them. This disgrace particularly bothers Harvey's father who hungers to bring honor back to the family by restoring their status.

Mr. Borgnino tried to restore the family to their riches and move them closer to their noble status by marrying his only daughter (Harvey's older sister) to a rich merchant family who he had taught their sons. Regina was happy to marry off and help the family overcome their former disgrace. However she had married a mean man who often beat her when things didn't go correctly for him. Eventually Regina died.

Harvey had always suspected that Regina was being beaten on the few occasions she came home or he visited her but he had no proof and could do nothing. However her death pushed him into action as her husband was slandering her name. He challenged him to a duel. As an expert fencer and also the man's teacher in fencing the man had no chance to win. Thus he cheated and got his friends to switch his fencing sabre for an actual sword. During the duel he slashed at Harvey giving him the scar over his left eye and blinding him in that eye. (This all happened when Harvey was 17)

Now Harvey's mother was a baker (a fact that never sat well with Mr. Borgnino) and her family owned a very successful bakery. Harvey, after the duel, took up baking full time as opposed to baking part time and also teaching fencing. He is quite good a baking and is hoping that when the bakery expands to open a new shop in Chlorba that he can also move. Harvey does not get along with his dad as he is content to be a commoner and has no aspirations to help get the Borgnino line back to nobility. Too often Mr. Borgnino has pressured Harvey into improving the family line and it has caused their relationship to splinter until a great rift was formed.

Just a small note: { since I am a fencer }

- How was he not able to distinguish the real sword from a fencing sabre? If he were a teacher, and well inept in the sport, I feel he'd be able to spot a real sword from a faux one straight away. A fencing sabre/foil/épée blade is actually very thin, the blade, and the only other sword I could think of that would possibly pass for one is maybe a rapier. { and of course the rapiers hilt would need to be made to look like that of a sabres. }

It was because when he inspected the weapon before the duel it was a fencing sabre. When he turned his back and walked away to show his opponent his weapon, the friends of his opponent switched the sabre out for a real sword. Thus he didn't notice until the match was under way. By then it was too late to do anything since calling a halt would have been him forfeiting (they agreed to duel until one was unable to continue or gave up/admitted defeat; everyone would have said that calling a halt was the same as giving up/admitting defeat).

((I took a small amount of fencing in college. Super fun. *high fives you for also fencing* ))
