 KoKoUm's thoughts often drifted to the one mare he met in a time that seemed so long ago. That pretty blue that he hadn't seen on any other hide. He had to wonder what became of her and if he would ever see her again. After that fateful day, he had tried sticking around in the same area, but his hooves took him elsewhere. He had traveled through most of the north and yet still had no sign of Keanay. Even so, he found himself in that same area again, half hoping she would be there, and half knowing that it was probably wishful thinking.

Keanay was grazing along the edge of the clearing in the western forests, her blue eyes closed as she just concentrated on the sounds of nature around her. She had wandered away from her foalhood home, needing to go out and explore after KoKoUm had left her with a sense of wanderlust bursting through her veins, not to mention with her uncles lifemating and her siblings it was getting pretty crowded. She had heard some rumors, of course, of trouble back home, but it hadn't seemed too serious... at least not yet, so she did not feel compelled to return... yet. However, she remained ready to go home whenever something too upsetting came across her ears, but for now she was happy finding out exactly who she was. Her ears perked up at the sound of hoofsteps and she turned her head upwards, her blue eyes flashing as she saw a blue and black figure in the distance. Her heart leapt a bit as her first though was of that dashing stallion, but she quickly calmed it down, as she did everytime she saw a blue pelt, and rationalized to herself that the likelihood of it being him was slim so she shouldn't get so worked up over it.

All of KoKoUm's wishful thinking seemed to be paying off. His thoughts were only of Keanay, and for a moment, he thought he was daydreaming as he saw a figure in the distance. His heart began to race as he didn't change his course as his feet were already leading him there. Had his hooves finally found her for him? Or was it just a mirage made up by his mind to torture him?
"Keanay?" He called out into the open when he was able to see those multicolored spots just like the ones Keanay had. If this was a mirage, he would almost be okay with it, as long as it talked back to him.

Keanay could have almost guessed the figure to just look similar to the stallion she was familiar with, but that red band came into view, and he called her name and his voice was music to her pricked up ears as she closed her eyes and listened to the music of it before she opened them back up and rushed forward to him. "Ko?! Its really you?" She asked, her voice holding the fear that it wasn't true... but there he was, and there was his handsome self... She could hardly contain herself, all she wanted to do was rush to him and nuzzle him as fiercely as possible, as if it was plausible that she could meld herself into him and never ever be separated again. Long ago she had realized that her crush wasn't quite a crush, but the fact remained that he hadn't ever said anything that betrayed his feelings about her, so she didn't know if even softly nuzzling him would be acceptable or not.

As he got closer, KoKoUm wondered is she had heard him as she didn't seem to move much. But the flick of her ears told him that she had. Then she called out to him and her voice only seemed to make the matter much more urgent to him as he quickly closed the distance. "Its really me. Is it really you?" Ko couldn't not ask it. He just couldn't believe that he had found her again. Her and those adorable spots he had grown fond of in their time apart. If anything for the stallion, the time apart had made him even more fond of her. He dipped his head as he was a few feet away from her. "I've missed you." He said simply to her, wondering if the full meaning would be conveyed through the simplicity.

Keanay smiled as she approached and then stopped only a few feet away from him, her breaths washing out of her nostrils as she took in the sight of him. No new scars or scratches and those beautiful and intriguing gold markings still dusted his sides. She closed her eyes and breathed in his scent before looking him over once more. "It is me... I can't believe its you, KoKoUm... I thought I would never meet you again..." She blinked at his admission. He had missed her, but did it mean what her foolish heart hoped it meant? "I missed you as well... I actually went out looking for you for a while... but soon gave up as no one had seen hide nor hair of you. Are you well? Did you find what you were looking for?"

KoKoUm let the smile come to his face as she confirmed that it was really her. He felt terrible when she said he had went looking for him though. The thought that he had kept her waiting would surely haunt him in his dreams. "I looked for you on my travels too. I often came through here, but you know me, I couldn't stay in one place for too long. I'm sorry that I made you look for me, it was never my intention."
He took a few moments as he thought about how to answer her last question. Did he find what he was looking for? Was their meeting now a coincidence or was it what his hooves had been trying to find all this time, and the traveling was just their way of trying to get his heart to catch up? "I think I have...now." He admitted to her with a straight face, the smile getting a tad bit bigger.

Keanay tilted her head as she studied the male in front of her, happy that each other their travels had led them to one another once more. She ached to ask him about how his travels went, who and what he saw and if he had fought with any of the northern armies. If he had returned to his home to visit.. what had he done, but that small smile on his face enchanted her and kept her from asking, and instead her lips formed other questions. "Well, what did you find?" She asked, her heart skipping at beat at the twinkle of his eyes.
