Christopher was born to a very skilled power plant worker, his dad quickly made it to the top in his business so compared to the other district members Christopher and his family had a pretty decent lie. Christopher always wanted more from life though, he hated being trapped in the district he was born in, he always wanted to travel and see all of panem and eventually the world. Christopher learned how to repair things easily and ended up becoming an apprentice power plant repairman while still in school. Christopher never took school seriously and would run off to explore the rocky mountains around the district, he would ditch work at times for that same reason too. Some night he just wouldn't come home, Christopher would be to busy hiking the mountain and star gazing, though the power plant made it hard to see the stars clearly even on the mountain. Christopher's family was very worried about him running off in the beginning, his sister eventually got used to it and thought of it as a natural thing but Christopher's father was always furious by this. Chris's older sister used their mother's death as an excuse as to why Chris ran off, it was just hard for him to be home at times and sometimes that was true. Chris's mother died when he was young of an illness. Chris's father eventually got annoyed with his so called childish dreams and behavior and would scold him, saying that he needed to be a man and grow up. That he needed to be more serious about working and supplying for the family. This really got to Chris so he started working harder but after work he would still run off to the mountains. Sometimes he'd find animals in the mountains so he taught himself how to hunt them. He also started secretly trading his catches for other things. He planned on training his older sister who is one year older than him since she became interested. Chris made this decision once she turned 19 and was no longer eligible for the games, he would use the lessons as a way to congratulate her. However little does he know that he is to be chosen so maybe hi sister will never get those lessons that he promised her.

Chris had two sides to him, the adventurous slacker that just wants to have fun, and the kind of smart and determined side of him. He's childish yet mature in different ways.
