Asami's pace was quick as she headed towards a shallow stream she knew about. Her puff of a tail twitched excitedly as she pranced along. Her steps were smooth and deliberate, almost graceful appearing as she thought about the cool water hitting her white and brown fur. Oh how refreshing that would be! The stream was surrounded by thick trees that shaded whoever decided to enjoy the cooling waters. Asami sighed softly as she approached the stream.
Her body crouched down and she lowered her head to where her chin was just barely in the water. While taking a drink, her fluffy ears turned towards the sounds of birds chirping loving songs to one another. This caused Asami to wonder: Where had Dhiren run off to? Perhaps he was avoiding the heat. Either way, he couldn't be too far off.

Dhiren was way behind her... He was panting, but trying to keep up with her. Had she forgotten he was following her? She was quicker than he recalled. Perhaps he was more out of shape than he thought. He had long since stopped running, and heavy breathing followed. He took easy steps, for the moment. If he went on any longer, he was sure to collapse and she'd never see it.
Sure it was warm, but he hadn't noticed it at all. His long fluffy tail limp and was being dragged across the ground behind him. "Asami..... I'll... I'll catch up." He gasped as he knew where she was going. This wasn't the first time she ran off and he couldn't keep up. Honestly, if he was a human, he'd be kinda chunky and out of shape.

Asami dipped her head in the water for just a second before she thought she heard a distant voice. It sounded like Dhiren's voice. Slowly, she turned in the direction she had come from and noticed the male almost dragging himself after her. With a soft giggle, Asami quickly grabbed a large leaf that she bent into a makeshift bowl.
After dunking it in the water, she began to prance in the direction she saw Dhiren, not realizing that most of the water was splashing out of the leaf. When she finally reached Dhiren's side, she set the leaf-bowl in front of him, noticing that it was now slightly less than half filled. "Oops..." If she didn't have all the fur, Dhiren would probably see the shade of pink her cheeks had turned. "Maybe some water will help you not be such a slow poke!" A grin overcame her features as she watched Dhiren.

He shook his head still panting, but lapped up some of the water that was left in the leaf. "Maybe.... Maybe I'm just too heavy?" He suggested. His tail was quite longer than hers, maybe it was what was keeping him down. All he knew was he could almost not breath, but now that they weren't moving, he at least could catch his breath.
"You.... Just have... More energy..." He added with a chuckle and another shake of his head. Maybe he was just getting old... Nah, he didn't feel old. At least not yet.
