We've always believe our enemies to be those abroad. 1939-45, the Axis. 1950s, The Koreans. 1960s, Vietnamese. Coldwar, the Russians. 1980s - 2000s, The Middle East, China. We've always labeled countries different from our own as the enemy. We've found excuses, we've launched propaganda, we've even gone as far as to nearly annihilate all existence just because we needed to be better then everyone else. But never, in our existence, did we expect our guns, our planes and our bombs, to be the very thing we're fighting. Our peace and safety replaced with slaughter and fear; families ripped apart; friends became enemies; we're destroying ourselves from the inside, and they didn't even need to lift a finger. When did it come to this?
They say it began during an event called "The Zero Hour". The details are fuzzy, but from what little information is available, it isn't pretty. "Hour One" was a level three anarchy. Riots in the streets, looting, killings, think the movie "The Purge", only in broad daylight and three times worse. "Hour Two", the military came in to back up the already dwindling police force. At this point, you'ed believe you were watching some kind of blockbuster zombie movie the amount of chaos was going down. But no, there was no unifying catalyst here, just death with a controller. "Hour Three", 66% of the USA has been lost to anarchy. People have begun to flee north and south, planes have been grounded or diverted, docks locked down. By order of the President, tactical military hardware has been moved to the still controlled parts of the states by any means. "Hour Four", 90% take over, the US has lost all communications with the outside world. Nowhere is safe, the President and cabinet has been moved to the USS "Obama", multiple missile sites have been wiped clean off the map to insure they could never be used again, Area 51 send one final message before loosing contact; "Secrets buried, ammo limited. Godspeed."
"Hour Five", 100% take over. All military presence is either offshore or struggling to escape. Roaming power-outages are occurring more and more. Canada and Mexico have closed off their borders, but are still running potential rescue ops along their borders. Any hope for UN/NATO assistance is far off and currently unlikely. The military suspects imminent invasion from one or many of their enemies, but the biggest fear is what should happen if this were to go down not just here, but across the world.
"A-Day -1". It has been a day since the total lockdown. The anarchy hasn't stopped. If anything, it has only gotten worse. The lucky ones are either already dead, or are barely making it as they try to escape this anarchy. So what does this mean for you? Well, this is your story. Are you going to leave and let things run themselves out? Or are you going to take a stand and try to unify these anarchists? The choice is yours, but know this:
