Marcy slipped back through the portal a little bit subdued. She was very sad about the fact they'd had to leave so soon, and she really did want to take a close look at the things in the cases. They had to be important and neat.

"What do you think is in that room, Mia?" She meant everything. The cases, the humming...all of it.

She wanted to know. She really did.

Mia on the other hand, quite appreciated the break, and was almost sad she had to come back, but... those artifacts HAD been pretty tempting, and she was determined not to leave without getting her hands on one. That WAS their goal for coming here after all, was it not?

"Surely it was the fabled artifacts that your book spoke about. I can't imagine it being anything else."

However, the monstrous wolf that greeted them DEFINITELY wasn't part of the plan... book. Was it even in the book?
Oh great.

"Marcy dear, I think we should leave."

"But we just-- Ah!" There was a yelp when Marcy saw the wolf. Did it look angry? She thought it looked angry. And that howl. Oh, it sounded angry.

"Okay." Marcy didn't argue. She jumped right back through the portal.

How long should they wait for the thing to leave? QQ Maybe they should go get some tea.
