Bell Witch Cave... Dark, dank, stale, moist ... "And boooooring!" Sasha called out loudly. "Hey, come on! I thought I was supposed to be fighting monsters--or even just the one monster! But instead I'm gonna have to settle for walking around some dark hole that smells like a dead whale? Come on!!" She complained the whole way. And while many might wonder and ask: Why take the job if all she was going to do was complain about it? Well, it wasn't her idea of a vacation, that's for darn sure! And it wasn't for the job itself--she wasn't quite so noble. So what compelled the master of cait shelter to jump up and take the job? Easy: the promise of a powerful celestial key!
"Helooooo! Is anyone even here? Bandits? Evil wizards? Someone! Come on! I came all the way out here and I haven't seen anything worth picking a fight with! Where's this cow-monster-creature-thingy-mo-bob anyway?" She kicked a pebble, the light starting to get better for some odd reason.
"I'm not even imagining it," She said with a raised brow. "Oh." And coming closer to the light, she found the entrance to the maze. "So... That's a thing." She stared at it a while. "It's even hard for me to imagine that little kids would wonder into something creepy. I mean, seriously! What about this gaping entry says: play land right here, com on in! I will never understand some people... Hm?" She shut up (finally) long enough to notice. "It's faint but... I can feel my magic being sucked into the maze. It would make sense if this thing wants wizards, but what can kids do?" She crossed her arms, watching the thing. She watched the flames flicker, ultimately deciding to go right in

"This is getting to be even more ridiculous," Sasha complained a little more inside the maze. She had walked around, following one pull sensation after another through the maze. "This celestial key had better be worth it--don't give me something shitty like Raised Goat give me something good! And preferably one that isn't so easily infatuated with me just for doing one good deed and having a nice chest. That would be significantly less annoying. By far!" She sighed. Looking up at the pitch black cave ceiling, she couldn't help but to think about how bland and boring it was. "You know what there should be? Lights! Like crystallized stars with an eerie glow that mesmerizes you! Now that would be a way to draw in a kid!" She laughed, but as she pictured it, the image began to come alive. There was nothing here to distract her anyway. "That, or a house made of candy. Ohh... ya! That one! Definitely the second one!" She grinned.
"Well... Now that I'mm all good and lost, why not COME OUT SO I CAN FINISH MY JOB!" She roared out, hearing only her echo to reply. "Oh, come come on! I'm packed with magic! ... ... ... I'd like to rephrase that." The ground shook. "Finally!" She said after she regained her footing from a slight stumble. "Come on! Get over here! I got these cool swords that are getting rusty just from sitting around uselessly! And one of them Makes a cool sound too! Swish swish stab! And fwoom! And wham! And-and I have got this amazing armor that is totally COOL! And it's probably one of the sexiest ones. If manga has taught me anything--even just one thing--it's this: the skimpier the armor, the more protection it offers. You gotta see it! So just come out and run your pretty face into either sword! Or into my fist. Repeatedly."

And after that initial shake, it was back to more wondering. "Jeeze..." Sasha sighed, groaning and complaining. Nothing really too unusual since she had been doing that five minutes into walking the cave! "I thought this thing was finally going to show itself. What happened? Did it get scared when I mentioned my Ulfberht and Vorpal Sword? Big bad bully bully got scared by a girl with pointy things?" She started to laugh hysterically. "Seriously! Does this thing even exist!? If I don't get the chance to pound in its head and take its horns for my own personal trophy, I'm just gonna start smashing stuff. Stuff like this stupid maze! It's giving me a head ache! Heck! I can call for Gemini to come and copy me--double the smashing! Bwahaha!" She laughed and kept walking.
"Oh, hell! Why wait!?" She stopped in the midst of her tracks, taking out Gemini's golden celestial gate key. "Maybe this will get its attention! Open! Gate of the twins!" The echoing sound of a door bell sounded through the maze, and the gold light of the summoned spirit came.
Smash things? the blue twins asked.
"Just follow my lead and copy me!" Sasha smiled, giving a thumbs up. "You watch my back and I'll watch yours. Requip! Pocket Dimension! Berserker Armor! Divine Pike!" Now it was Sasha's turn to become aglow. "Gemini," She called out, and the spirit copied her form. "Now, let's start smashing!" The double of Sasha Shiva raised their pike-weapons. "Air and lightning!" They chanted before letting out powerful magic from the weapon.
One wall smashed into rubble, and then another after it. "Easiest maze to date!" Sasha mused for herself, right up until one wall fell and showed the missing kids. "Well... There's the kids, but where's the beast?"

"Well... There's the kids, but where's the beast?" Sasha asked, placing her free hand on her hip. She blinked and pondered--making it a good thing her armor was active, or else she'd be naked in front of a bunch of tiny eyes; that's about how hard she thought about it. "I'm gonna get you out of here, so don't worry. I just have to find the--" The ground shook again, sending out a tremor that made Sasha--the master of the Cait Shelter guild--stumble and the kids crouched down together in fear.
"Beasty..." Her voice dropped, looking to where the heavy sound was coming from. "See? We got its attention!" She smiled at her Gemini duplicate.
"Maybe so, but we should move away from the kids so they don't get caught in the fire fight," Gemini replied.
"Good thinking. I knew three heads were always better than one!" She smiled and chuckled. And so, they charged toward it. The sound of the beasty's heavy steps grew, its snorting could be heard and its tremors felt. "Hey, watch this whole thing with the shaking and everything be done by something really tiny! Heh heh heh! That would be a real joke! Well, I'd be laughing anyway." Seriously, it was a good thing she wasn't using her image spell to be dressed right now!
"Maybe the jokes can wait until after we beat it?" Gemini reminded.
"Ya, ya, but just think about it will you? How funny would that be?" She kept laughing to herself. Though, it wasn't long before they found the minotuar--the beasty beast of beast-ness! And, to no one's surprise (only Sasha's disappointment) it wasn't at all small. It was big. Very big. Huge even! "Well, you know what they say about wishful thinking and all."
The minotaur roared out, its voice even vibrating through Sasha's insides. "Let's not waste time." And finally, just like that, she got serious about her job. "I might not have the greatest spells, but I'm a master for one really big reason!"
"Because the last master had feelings for you?"
"Well, I guess old-man-perv is a good reason too." She paused her nobility for a moment.
"Is that really something you should call your former master?"
"That's another thing! He used to get really giddy when I called him 'master'! Oof!!" All her distraction and the beast smacked her back with its massive arm. Undeterred, Sasha rose and shook it off. "Well, it hits like a girl." She snickered. "And the big reason why I'm a master over a guild... I'm stubborn. Too stubborn to quit, turn tail, run, or give up!" I don't think she even realized all of those things were synonymous. "I won't back down from protecting other people! It our job as guild wizards to protect!" Gemini nodded in agreement. "Now it's our turn to hit back, right Gimini?"
"We're almost out of time. Let's hurry!" A thrust of their pikes, and a storm flew out at the minotaur, thundering with their own battle cries.

Despite the combined efforts of Sasha and Gemini, all that really happened was that they managed to make the monster even more angry! "When am I finally going to get to the point where a colossus just shatters with little effort on my part!?" She scowled, whining more in frustration to compete with the minotaur's roar. "Oh, you shut up! Take it like a man! Or... whatever you are."
And what it was, was really really mad. It swung out and smacked aside Sasha and Gemini. It howled out loudly--how a bull howls, i don't know, but it did--and snorted while it looked down at the pair.
"We're almost done..." Gemini ached, nearly out of time itself. Ruble fell off the two as they hurt to get back up.
"Ya... Remind me to invest in heavier armor when I smash my way back to home." Sasha rubbed her head. "Just stay with me one last go! If I can make a big enough dent with you, I might be able to take it from there." Gemini nodded, but time was almost done. "One more good hit!" The both of them cried out as they charged again. Though, the minotaur snorted at their effort and thrashed around to parry the two off. Its massive size sent both of them tumbling back. And that was it: Gemini's time was up, and it was sent back to the spirit world.
"What? Hey wait a second!" Too late. And what's more: mister beasty was there to stand over her, all on her own now. "Um... Do you do time-outs? I just remembered that I left my oven on back at home, and I should really take care of that before it--I dunno, explodes? Ovens explode, right?" The beast picked her up by the leg, pulling hard and having her hang in the air at its own eye level. "Oh--woa! Oh okay, I guess not..." It snorted out a hot blast of bad breath at Sasha, leering at her while her hand fanned around her face and her expression soured. And then it threw her aside like a toy, listening to her crying scream as she spun and flailed around like a rag doll.
"Lockhart! Where are you!?" The spirit portal opened with her call, and the stag bounded out to catch her. "Oof!" Safe! "Thanks..." She looked up with a relieved smile while his strands of his brown hair fell on her. "Huh? Hey, what's with that look?" She switched expression rather quickly, looking more suspiciously at him.
"Nothing," He smiled and set her down. "I love you."
Sasha cringed. "Stop saying that!" She growled low.
"Whatever you say, my love." He laughed.
"I'm serious! Stop it!" Sasha pushed, puffing out her cheeks and frowning. "If I had known you were gonna be this much trouble, I wouldn't have bothered to save you."
"That's not a very nice thing to say to your one true love."
"If you really think you love me, then prove it and help me take that thing down!" She pointed out the snorting monster.
"If that makes my lady happy." Lockhart shrugged.
"I'm not your lady!" Sasha snapped. "Do, do that thing where you get something cool from the spirit world and save the day!" Her face was flushed and her cheeks were puffed as she crossed her arms.
Lock, he simply smiled and reached behind himself, pulling something from the spirit world. And it was... A ring? "This should do the trick."
Sasha sneered at it, her brow twitching at how unimpressive it was. "That... Where's the cool stuff that's all magically and shiny!? Unless this is the one ring and we're going on a quest with dwarves and elves..."
Lock laughed. "You know that my requip takes copies from other spirits. This is Leo's ring. Just watch." He tapped at the ring, firing off Leo's regulus blast at the minotaur.
Sasha jumped up, her eyes full of glee. "Ooohh! Now I really like the ring!"
"I could get you a ring for our engagement."
"If it does super blasts like that, then ya!"

The minotaur cried out in pain from the last blast of magic. The light from it shimmered and roared up like a lion before shifting its form into a stag. And like a child, Sasha couldn't take her eyes off of it. "Man, I really wish I had been a ring wizard now! If they's the kind of power they can do--and it's so cool and pretty! So much better than celestial magic!" And she said that deliberately in front of Lock.
And Lock, who brushed through his hair slightly, under his crown of antlers, grimaced at the words. "That was unkind to say in front of your fiance..."
"Come on! Let's go smash it! Bring the shiny ring of good fortune with you!" She grabbed hold of his wrist and tugged him along in a dash back to the monster. "The faster we can break it, the faster we can gather up the kids and get the heck out of here!"
"Kids?" Lock took a quick moment to think on that. With a conclusion in hand, he grinned. "Of course! We'll have lots of little fawns after we're married! Glad to see you on board!"
"Are all the druid spirits this annoying? Or is it a leader thing?" Sasha sighed, still running at her foe. "Only thing I really know is that I'm hoping this key reward thing is gonna be this Leo person! That spell is amazing!" She laughed. Though, Lock--being a spirit himself--was not so happy with the thought. "Hit it fast and hard! Like a peeping tom!"
"I've... never had to do that, but okay!" Lock charged, getting in close to let out the spell again. It hit its mark, but so close that the minotaur went to stomp on the spirit!
"My turn to save you!" Sasha dove and tumbled out of the way with Lock. "That was exciting. But let's try and not get squished yet." She smiled with a wink. "Sound good?"
Lock blushed. Sasha was on top of him. "Ya... Sounds good." How the mighty do fall with the weight of her things on him.
"Good. Let's hit him together then!" Sasha got herself up first, picking up her pike and charging it up.
"Got you," He nodded. "I have one more spell in me I think..."
"Well, we'll need it." She focused in on her own agility and ran at the monster's legs to slash them. Her battle cry heard, the gash went deep and forced the best to take a knee.
From there, Lock used the last of Leo's ring that he would be allotted in a final blast of magic. His own battle cry heard and the minotaur's terrible call in agony echoed the maze--the entire cave for that matter! "Sasha! Finish it!" the stag spirit called out to his owner.
"Got it!" She used her speed to climb up the wall as quickly as she could to gain leverage and jump onto the giant creature. She scurried quickly up its back side, having only this last window of opportunity to finish it off. And at the nape of its neck she held her pike high and thrust it down! But a last minute want for survival made the beast shake and throw her off! With its massive fists, it laid in a heavy handed punch and pinned Sasha to the wall. "Knew I should have had a work out routine!" She struggled to keep the monster from flattening her out against the stone wall.
"Sasha!" Lock called out, grabbing the minotaur's attention.
"Don't worry about me right now!" She called back. "Take this thing down and I'll be just fine! Hurry up! Lockhart!" It was more and more of a fight to keep from getting squished. Sasha was, by no means, indestructible or incredibly strong. What she had was an incredible amount of luck to keep her alive and afloat. Hopefully, that luck wouldn't run out today...
Lock nodded, reaching again to requip a borrowed copy of another spirit item. This time he pulled out a bow: Sagittarius's bow! He pulled back on the thread, taking aim for the soft of the minotaur's neck. He let loose the arrow--but it was folly! In fail! The minotaur blocked it off with the mass of its free arm! With a snort, he reached to smash down on Lock--who barely managed to dodge! That would have spelled disaster for Sasha...
"Lock! Hurry up!" Sasha called out in a great strain.
"Sasha!" Lock cringed, looking at the monster. It was slow, but not so weak--even with all the damage done it it already! If he didn't make this last shot count... Well, the outcome wouldn't be so great. Better not to think about that! So he drew back, too aim quickly, and loosed! Finally! The mark made! The beast cried out a death rattle and fell hard to the ground--the entire cave shook.
Free, Sasha started to fall--and would have landed hard if not for her "lover" bounding in to catch her again. "Fwheu... That was close..." She did her best to catch her breath.
"Sasha... you work too hard." Lock held her close.
"Have to," She said simply. "Now lets get the kids and get out of here!"

"Are you alright?" Lock remained out, hoisting up Sasha and supporting her to walk. "That ankle never really healed properly." He looked down at her left ankle, closest to himself to help his owner alleviate and weight on it.
"No, but... Who knows? Maybe I'll get lucky and the next key will be some healing spirit!" She joked, as full of pain as her leg was in.
Lock just smiled for her. "Maybe." He walked with her, supporting her weight to keep off that one ankle. "So where are the kids?"
"Follow the smashing. That's where I left 'em." That statement sounded a lot better in her head. "Well! I had to take down mister snorty before I could get them out! Not like I could just take 'em with me!"
Lock laughed, right until the point where they reached the end of the ruble and found the spot empty. "So... which way?"
"Aw, f--" Sasha whined. "Come on, let's go look for them and smash our way out. I still have enough magic to give you a boost. You can use the one ring to rule them all! I like that ring." She grinned up at her spirit.

"Okay, so we have... fourteen? That's one more than was repeated missing." Sasha raised a brow, scratching her cheek and still leaning against Lock while the scared and hopeful little dirt-riddled faces looked up at her. "Do I get over time for that?" She looked at her spirit, who frowned back at her. "Or! Just the goodness of my heart! Heh heh..."
Lock sighed, pulling Libra's scales from his requip ability. A wave of them and gravity suddenly became to reverse: everyone began to float weightlessly. "It'll be easier to go over than to smash through."
"Not as much fun though..." Sasha muttered.

As annoying as that was, there wasn't much Sasha could say without having her words tossed back for calling on celestial spirits to start with. And so she thought up stars, once her mind cleared, to light around them.
