What the hell does that mean? I've been playing Diablo II for two years and I still don't know what this is.

Not exactly, You do have to do some things as well. Like in act two, you have to collect the cube and the items for the staff. The person who rushes doesn't do everything for you. sweatdrop

But basicly, a rush is when a high level character helps a lower level character get through the game, And opens up all the acts. 3nodding

There are different types of rushes.
In the fastest one, the rushes (the highlevel char) simply defeats the bosses, lends you the cube in act2 and does no sidequests.
In another type, the more imporant quests like Anya are done too, and you also get your own cube, act2 or act3/travincal.

But there's another one, where the important quests are done in normal, until it's time to defeat Baal.
Then the rusher lvls you in the secret cow level (he opens, as you can only enter it, not create it if you haven't defeated baal yet) until you're 24/25 and does the ancients for you for another level, and you Baalrun until lvl 45.
Then Nightmare, almost the same, except that you're leveled only in Baalruns until 70.
And then Hell... which is the same as NM, except that the levels are higher and it's much harder. blaugh

Well, that's what I do with my friends.

its when high level chars help you finish the level of difficulty without side quest

and i think it also means they kill bosses like mephisto or cows for items
