Where there are greener pastures, there is Chunhua rolling around in them. Where the striking sun meets the horizon, marring the sandy beaches a murderous red, there is Chunhua basking in its shine. Chunhua is a traveler by trade with enough adventurous pep to go where no other average twenty year old can brave. She loves the thrill of threading into unknown places, adores the thought to she might find something worthwhile, and will sacrifice the pain of cuts and bruises just to wander and collect knickknacks during her explorations.
Doubled with her adventurous streak is a wild surge of energy. Chunhua love, love, LOVES having fun and cackles with energy come every sunrise. This gal sparks with energy every morning -- from cleaning to even bathing -- until she wears herself out for a good night's rest. However, her almost unending supply of energy also causes her to be a bit impulsive when it comes to others. When another activity looks fun, she likes to share that fun, and that usually means dragging another willing (or unwilling) volunteer along with her.
Chunhua is incredibly loyal to the military and life they have provided her. Their orders are her law and the adult is quick to drop whatever she is doing to obey their commands. She never questions their commands despite how unethical or impossible they may seem; Chunhua always tries to find a way to carry out them. Whether this is a product of her own doing or something that is innate is something that can be questioned when even Chunhua has problems knows what she is doing may be wrong but wishes to carry it out anyway.
Despite her chipper attitude, Chunhua is actually hiding a general loathing for herself she cannot seem to give up. This is due to the nature of her birth, her family, and the choices she made in life. She is brimming with regret and tends to weigh with some jealousy to those who have lived more comfortable lives. To her, they're lucky, and should be completely mindful of that and never hold this fact above someone's head.
The origins of her birth also brought about a major existential crisis for the adult that she had been battling with since she became knowledgeable of it. What's the purpose of her life? Was everything determined by Dart? Where was her choice in the matter and, above all, does she have no free will above her commands? She has constantly wondered if her chipper attitude was just a mask to remain sane, even when mirthful. Dart has been a major influence in her life and breaking from her gang life is one of the hardest obstacles Chunhua has been attempting to overcome.
History: Chunhua does not talk about her past. It is known that she came from a large family she willingly ran away from when competition amongst her siblings became too sickening. She lived on scraps and handouts from Wallists and kind souls within Trost until she started dabbling in underground gangs at age fourteen. She was only knuckle deep when it came to affiliations. Instead, most of her livelihood came from dancing and performing in the streets. This livelihood continued for two years until her prettiness caught the attention of a gang lord by the name of Dart.
Dart ran an all-female gang called the Queens made up mostly of orphan girls, prostitutes, women down on their lucks, and so on. Chunhua only knew of their influence, but when her dancing caught the middle-aged woman's eye, her fate was sealed. Dart's love of pretty women equals to her distressing amount of alcohol consumption that has ruined her physical appearance. By keeping a pretty woman on her arm as a status symbol, Dart felt better about herself. Chunhua became the new "trophy lover" of Dart's harem when she was pressured into the position.
Despite her reservations about this, Chunhua eventually fell too deep. She cared nothing about Dart, but the lavish lifestyle and jewelery the gang leader showered her with was enough to keep the young Chunhua wrapped about her arm. This part of her life became the backbone of Chunhua's life until her entrance into the military. She also had a significant position in the gang as a lookout when it came to smuggling and this earned her much respect from the other gang members. She was affectionately called "Chihuahua" by them due to her short stature.
Her betrayal came when she was nineteen; a week before her birthday. Chunhua was slowly loosing affections from Dart and, like the others, was becoming a victim of her physical abuse. With the drunk's eyes on another, younger girl to make her own, that's when the black-haired woman realized she had to leave -- immediately. She pocketed a large amount of money from her lover and signed up for the military; literally begging at their feet to have them take her in. By the time Dart found out and sent out members of her gang to track her down -- furious to find one of her possessions had skimped out on her -- Chunhua was already on her way to the campgrounds.
