Nokomis had wondered away from her siblings and her mother. They were busy and she was able to slip away without any issues. Not that it was too hard. She was pretty good at sneaking about. She always came back, so she never thought it was too much of a problem. She flicked her tail about as she pounced from one rock to the next thing that moved. She wanted to play, play, play, and play. Everything was her play toy, and nothing was safe.
She saw a butterfly and began to follow it for a bit. It was what was going to keep her entertained for the moment. She hadn't been paying attention where she was going. Only on that butterfly. Swatting her little white paws up in the air. "Hey... get back here!" She'd say when it flew too high. It seemed to know what she was saying and would float just a little lower, but still out of her reach. It was amazing!

On this day, the realm seemed too tame to be real. Something that needed to be shaken up, such was his purpose. Wait.. What was that sound? It couldn't possibly his mother already! His brown ears kept erect, Xian listened carefully to his surroundings as he crept up a rock. His red eyes widened as they beheld a white kit, chasing a much more colorful little winged-thing. As Xian watched the game unfold, a smile spread across his face and a laughter in his chest, though it did not carry to his vocal cords.
As the butterfly drew near to his position, he crept back to his position on the hidden side of the rock. He waited and watched the sky above him, if she had noticed him, she had not made it apparent. As soon as the thing was over head he leaped up, and sprung from the rock into the air, catching the butterfly between his front paws and tumbled back down to the ground.
"And -that- is how you win!" He flashed a grin at the other kit, believing he was certainly entitled to praise and/or admiration.

"Don't! You'll kill it!" Nokomis screamed out when she watched the other jump on it. What ever it was... She wasn't sure... It looked like it could be a ulaya, but there was so much odd about the thing.. Which she realized turned out to be a boy. "I wasn't trying to actually catch it!" She told him as she puffed her cheeks up and stopped in front of the male. Didn't he know that was mean?
He had a horn, not two, and a tail, but was far different from hers. As well as, it looked he might even have... scales? What was this?! Though, she still huffed over the fact he had squished her new found friend. She would have to find a new friend later. She glared at him, then finally decided she couldn't really do anything to help the little bug.
"You look funny." Was what followed next.

Xian's eyebrows scrunched together, one quirking at the end. Who does this kit think she is? Sure, that she was cute, but that was no excuse. This little white girl here was more different from him than his sisters were from him. As if she was an entirely different species. But that was no excuse for her to be so rude!
"Well...That's one way to show gratitude.." He eyed her with an inquisical look. "What were you trying to do then?" To his knowledge, there was only one to catch a bug, and that was to kill it. He wasn't a greedy or evil little punk, nor did he enjoy the action of killing anything. But it was just a bug. Didn't she know she was being quite rude? He flicked his tail with mild irritation.
"I'm Xianliang."

She straightened her chest fluff down a bit, as she had noticed it was fluffed. "I was playing with it, of course." She said in a matter of fact sort of voice. "I just wanted to make a new friend." Bugs had feelings too! Didn't they? I mean, it came down at her when she asked it to. She felt bad, it was her fault it was now dead.
She ignored his tail flicking, and him being irritated with her. To her, he had no right to be, but that was another thing. Her attention to the bug was slowly disappearing. Her eyes moved from his tail to his horn slowly trying to decide what he was.
"I'm Nokomis." So, he was a ulaya of sorts, it seemed.

Xian enjoyed the waterfall look she was giving him, so he struck a pose for her to take in all that was this very impressive specimen. Not even he was really sure what breed he was, but he sure was fantastic. He stretched out his back leg and puffed out his own chest, tipping his nose up to the sky. That's right.. Soak it in..
"Well a new friend, you have made!" Xian smiled as he came back to his normal position. "And I'm not so easy to squish.." Xian chuckled and shook his head softly. His jokes were so good, even he had to admire them.
Without a word, he looked from side to side as he got closer to her. He was acting like he had heard something in the distance. Xian brought a a paw up to his mouth and very quietly 'shhhed' her. As he got much closer, quickly he poked her and yelled out. "TAG! YOU'RE IT!" Then broke out running, expecting her to pick up what he was putting down.

Nokomis jumped at his loud words! She had been expecting something else. Like her mother calling her, or something. She looked from him to were he had touched her, confused. "W-what?" She said. What was he doing? This boy was strange!
She hadn't said they were friends, but she supposed she needed to replace the one he had squished. Of course, she had almost forgotten the little bug already anyways. "What are you doing?" She asked him when he started to run. Was this a game? She didn't know any games like this.

Xian noticed she was not following him, but that wasn't going to sucker him into getting sucked into a trap where he comes out the looser. At a safe distance he stopped and gave her an inquisical look.
"What planet are you from that doesn't play tag?" His surprise would hopefully help to cover up the fact he was not sure exactly how to communicate the Romulus to someone who had never played.
"You're 'it', you don't want to be 'it' so you need to tag me to make me 'it'!" He finally jumbled out.
"What games do you play then?"
