piggyzhou Yami no Sakura I THINK THAT'S THE ONE FOR ME TOO! OMG! XDDD I know that I'm flying to DC to catch the flight to Beijing, and I don't think there are too many international airports in that area. My parents were going on about how there's a new direct flight to China now, so I think that's the one we're going with Afternoon/evening flight out? =OO YES. AIR CHINA????????? I'm...actually not sure. sweatdrop My dad's been holding all of our travel documents, so I have no idea. I just go where he tells me to go. >< That said, there can't be that many flights to Beijing from the same airport within hours of each other. THIS IS SO EXCITING! emotion_kirakira

There is only one airport that has a direct flight to Beijing. And your dad was right, Air China came to DC June 10th. That was the first time there was a direct flight out of washington (I live 30 minutes away). ^^' I am pretty sure I'll meet you. Also, only one flight flies out from IAD to Beijing per day... So there's no doubting it!!! We're on the same flight!!

That was the first time there was a direct flight out of washington (I live 30 minutes away). ^^' I am pretty sure I'll meet you. Also, only one flight flies out from IAD to Beijing per day... So there's no doubting it!!! We're on the same flight!! OMG THIS IS SO EXCITING! It's such a crazy way to meet up! xD inb4 I get super awkward IRL. xDDD

In the past, I've had trouble checking in online with Air China though (always had to go to the ticket counter)... So please let me know if your dad is able to check you guys in online and how you did it. Every time I get to the "search for reservations" page, I get an error saying there's no flight available to check it -.-; (this is on flights in the past -- we can't check in yet for the flight on Saturday until about 24 hours before departure)

I'm not a big texter and borderline petrified of phone calls, so idk if it'll help. xP I have basically zero idea about my flight details 'cause my dad always answers with "I got this under control" when I ask. It worries me a bit 'cause i know he'll forget something. >< I think a lot of flights have a limit of 24 hours in advance on checking in, so I wouldn't worry too much until Friday night. That said, I haven't had any experience dealing with Air China. I'm not much help on this matter, I'm afraid. sweatdrop

The thing about Air China though is that if you check in at the counter, you're more likely to get a better seat, since there's some weird thing with airlines where they reserve some of the better seats until closer to departure o w o Huuuh...I actually haven't heard of that seat thing. I think my parents mentioned that we got an entire row to ourselves, so it should be okay as is. Might be worth looking into though!

Parameters have been exceeded. Please transact your request at the airport check-in counter. Error code：-30004 mad Bah, that's a pain. =/ I hope this doesn't take too long. My flight to DC is at 8 AM, so I already have to get to the airport at some ungodly hour without messing around with this kind of shenanigans. ><
