Yes, for some strange reason 'banshees' have been wandering my mind (oh and sirens too!). And that probably made no sense.
Um, if by chance there was a thread that already talked about this topic, I'd like to apologize for my lack of ability of thinking beforehand. sweatdrop
I've heard of banshees way back when from some cartoon show...but I don't quite remember much about them. As for sirens, I read a novel in which the protagonist was a siren...I think. I'm more familiar with sirens, but I wouldn't be able to elaborate on what I know.
What I'm trying to say is, I'm clueless, and any bit of info would be lovely. =3

Banshees and sirens are somewhat similar paranormal creatures. They both use their voices to do bad things to the mortals who hear them. Their difference is that a banshee's voice sounds really terrible, and a siren sounds really lovely. A banshee would make you want to tear at your hair in frustration, while a siren has an alluring voice.

Banshees from some weird cartoon, I can't recall what it was titled. O__o;
So they're basically of the female genders, right?

yarg, one of the places that I check out supernatural stuff from says that a banshee will go to your ansetorial(I lack spelling) home, and shreik right before you die. As far as I know, in that version they don't cause the death, just give a warning to it.

Yeah, they are supposedly also known to give death warnings. I think they are accompanied by this black horse, neighing madly.

Sirens, when heard, make men, and only men, fall in love with the sound of their voice which makes them do whatever the Siren wishes, most of the time, they wish death.
