I told my parents I want to suspend and have plans on doing so.
They want to get me a counselor.

Yeah my parents are NOT happy about my interests, lately. They told me never to talk to them about any suspensions/flesh pulls I do because they honestly just don't want to hear about it.
Sucks, because it's an important thing to me and it would mean a lot if they'd try to understand. Ah well.

My parents think I'm into body mods for self mutialtion because of past problems of mine. I tried telling them that if I was doing it for self mutilation I could do it very easily, cheaply and much more effective.
My Mom nearly flipped over my double nips (she tells me this 9 months after getting them done) and she thinks I was crazy to get my VCH.
The suspension is going to put her the edge, so I'm not going to bother to tell her when or where I'm doing it. That way I can save her sanity.
I'm with you on wishing they would understand, but my parents told me they were raised to believe body mods are basically self mutilation. I can't compete with an upbringing that happened decades ago.
