sick of the gaia cash offers, one of my sons cousins was getting this until he unchecked two boxes and ignored BOTH admin accts

and uncheck the box that says

Notify me whenever I earn gold posting, voting, etc...
and set the p.m. box to friends only

FIRST... ignore the accts
then uncheck the boxes
then dont sell on the mp

he hasnt got a message now in 2 days so if you want to give this method a try go ahead and if it works let others know but please....

DONT POST IN THE GAIA FORUMS about this because if this really is working and gaia finds it out well they will probably find some way to disable this and we will all be back to square one

oh one other piece of advice DO NOT sell any items on the mp after this, its more likely to make your acct more invisible from them AND delete any current pm's from the admin

heres hoping that this brings a little sanity to your gaia again

I appreciate the intent of this but the truth is I shouldn't have to block the admin in order to not be spammed. It's not helping me much if I can't see the few real admin notices they send - and also I don't think trying to "sneak" this by not posting in the Gaia Forums would be effective as I'm sure they know if they are being blocked.

Why should I have to be "invisible" on a site that I enjoy being a member of. At that point I'd just rather not have an account if I have to jump through weird hoops.

Personally I would say the the most effective ways to fight this are:
1) Not spending a cent of real money
2) Continue to "spam" them in their feedback forum about your discontent.
3) Leave the site altogether and find a better place to spend your time.

Not using the mp for high priced items might actually help a little but not because it makes your account invisible, rather because it may help even out the economy a little (if it's not already beyond help).

I just click on them until they disappear I do glance at them however just in case something interesting pops up. I have also decided not to use real cash on Gaia as I know there will be a chance in the future to get what I want.

Yeah I used to click them until they disappeared also but it became a chore since every time I logged in there were at least five (10 if I left it all day). Now I just leave it.
