notchtail || thunder clan camp || @ironlkit Notch watched the kit in solemn silence. He knew the kit needed comforting, but outside of his family, that really wasn't in his comfort zone. So, he sat close and waited, until the orphaned kitten mewled his plea.
The bobtail gave a nod, "Every paw is needed, even if they are as small as yours, kid," He stood, towering over the young tom, "Come with me." Notch said simply and began making his way towards the nursery.

Ironkit nodded and his tail drooped. The silver tom pawed at the dirt, looking up at Notchtail. He was relieved that the Warrior was accepting of his help, and he let himself smile lightly. Ironkit purred, following Notchtail to the nursery. He looked at the Warrior’s namesake and couldn’t help his curiosity. “What happened to your tail?”

notchtail || thunder clan camp || @ironlkit Notch chuckled at the question. It was one he heard often. It didn't bother him, not at all; in fact, if he weren't an honest cat, he probably would have made up some crazy story to explain his birth defect. But it was what it was.
"I was born without it," He explained with a shrug, "Never really bothered me none. Here," Notch said as the arrived at the entrance to the Nursery, "Our first job is here. Kits are incredibly important to any clan. They are the future and without them, we die out. Our job is to make sure everyone in here is prepared and ready to go, got it?"

Ironkit smiled and was glad his question didn't end in some horribly tragic account of a dog attack or twoleg encounter. The silver tom bounded up behind Notchtail, to his side, and purred. At the explanation of his job, he nodded, understanding that the Nursery was the future of any clan.
"I got it." He chirped, eyes bright with purpose.

notchtail || thunder clan camp || @ironlkit Notch watched the kit from the corner of his big brown eyes. He was curious, and bounced back quickly. And he had managed nearly a moon without his parents. The kit had promise.
"Make sure you take this seriously, kid. This isn't no game. Cats could die, got it?" He turned to look at the kit, "What's your name kid?"

The green-eyed tom nodded urgently. No more of his clan needed to die. And he certainly, as Starclan as his witness, would not let any die because of him. He looked solidly at the large Warrior. "I'm Ironkit." He was so ready for Apprenticeship, but this was just as good. Save for name. But that would come with time, as it had for all other cats of all other clans.

"A strong name,"
The large tom nodded and gestured for Ironkit to follow him as he pressed through the gorse tunnel and into the nursery. The tunnel opened up into a thicket laced with brambles. The floor had been worn down by countless generations of paw steps. Notchtail sighed, wondering if they would find a home as perfect as this one.
As they entered the nursery, he spotted a goldenfurred warrior and a silvery apprentice. Before them sat a teeny kitten, so small, one would never think she was five moons old. Her pelt was long and silky, calico colored on the ears and tail, which greatly resembled her father's. Smallkit was her name and she was Notchtail's pride and joy. His heart flinched when he saw her, she looked just like her mother... Shaking his head, he looked back to Ironkit.
"The clans are leaving, kid. The land is dying and it's taking us with it. We've got to get everyone ready and prepared. Most of the clan thinks the kits shouldn't know, but I think they should be told. This is a scary thing, but I think if they hear it from you, they will react better. Got it?"

They moved into the nursery as Ironkit looked to Smallkit and the Warrior and Apprentice. So many cats in the space already.
Ironkit's head tilted. Not tell them something so important? Every cat should know the condition of the clan, regardless of age. "Okay. So I just need to tell them...the camp isn't safe, and we just have to find a new one. That shouldn't be too hard." Ironkit mewled, trying to be positive.
He neared Smallkit after moving away from the large Warrior's side, purring in greeting. The older kit mewled. "Smallkit, we're finding a new home."

In riverclan camp Redstones words fell on burning ears, Wildclaw was angry and her eyes showed it all. She didnt want to talk anymore about it, if fools were going to believe that other clanscats were just going to welcome each other with a purr than they were the ones that she will have to rescue in the end. She knew it, she felt the betrayal in her bones. But off to the nursery she went with Redstone. Expecting a mess of kits and denmothers yowling for help. She wasnt going to do this for them, she was just going to guard them. thats what Mr. Palefire the nobil and self asserting sent her to do. She did have one last thing to add. " think what you will. In this journey. Leaders will be made, friends will be made and so will enemies."in thunderclan camp Tumblekit sat there, watching the goings on, without much care about what was said. He looked around the moving nursery, use to it being so quiet like before. Smallkits voice caught his attention and he turned to look at her. "oh.. I was out there, looking at the warriors.. everything is so busy. Than i gt hauled back in here " his last statement came with a whine. he wanted to see but others would just bring him back. "maybe if im sneakier.." he started than turned his head about, looking back to the doorway, his little fuzzy ears pricking with thought. "there are other clans out there you know. we can go see the other clan warriors and stuff. if we can get away." The way he saw i, if he wasnt alone he might not get caught as fast. His voice had some small amount of teasing allure to it. his pawn started to knead in excitement.

smallkit || thunder clan camp || @tumblekit @notchtail Smallkit's eyes widened at Tumblekit's tale of outside the nursery. She had never ventured past the gorse tunnel before them, so hearing all of this was very exciting. Her small tail twitching, she gasped at the news.
"Other clans? What are they doing here? I thought that wasn't allowed!"
It was then that she noticed her father's arrival and, without a thought, the tiny kit bounced off to greet him, only to find another kit in her way.
"Oh, Ironkit! Did you run off, too?" She asked pleasantly with a purr that caught in her throat at his strait forward response, "What? A new home? Why? Is that the adventure the pretty miss was talking about?"

Ironkit purred bashfully. "Yes... Notchtail found me." He pawed at the ground. "But we have to get the other kits and Queens ready to leave. Us, and the rest of the clans are going to find a new home. It's not safe here anymore." He looked between Smallkit and Tumblekit, eyes wide with urgency and duty.
He looked up to Notchtail, his tail flicking before looking back to Smallkit. "C'mon."
