I know what you are thinking, I am sure of it. For most of you, seeing the mere words "Gaia Cash" makes you want to double over in a hysterical spasm and pretend it never existed. Some of you might feel passive about it all, and some of you just might feel things are a little off about the whole thing.
Gaia Cash was something that always existed before this fiasco began. At that time, we were able to enjoy both the cash and the gold factor of Gaia, to feel the reward of being able to bust our butts for that million gold tally through all the games we would have to go through day by day, no matter how many days it took to get our dream item, no matter how painful it was. And now? Well, Gaia heeded our call for easier methods, and what easier way than to buy money to money, eh?
Much of the community is clearly unimpressed about this, and this mostly comes from the new sway of the market; the fact that many, many items are now worth over one million gold and more as a general 'thing' doesnt help those out who never wanted to partake in the cash aspect in general. And so we come to this standstill, where Gaia still gives up deals everyday for cash, and users begin to leave in drones.
My opinion on this stands in a simple position. This whole Gaia Cash fiasco doesnt bother me all that much. Why? Well a couple reason: ~For starters, I have a job, meaning I can dabble in the riches whenever I allow myself to if I found something of interest. No I wont spend all my hard-earned cash on Gaia, just bits of it, because thats all it really costs for the most part. ~Second, as the guild still stands to its belief, Gaia is about the community. It matters not if its Gaia Cash this and Gaia Cash that, so long as we enjoy our time together, that is what matters.
What are your thoughts about Gaia Cash these days? Do you care about how things have unfolded? Tell me if you are hating this system as well.
(Not that I hate it or anything...its just for discussion purposes.)

Honestly, I don't have a problem with cash itself. Just how Gaia chooses to wring it out of us, that's all. Because I'll be the first to admit I'm a bit of a greedy bugger: I really like items, and most avenues that grant items. sweatdrop The cash shop has granted us some good ones, but now marketing has just gone out of all control.

✿ Personally, I love GC and I love being able to buy items that I like (and I think I have an item addiction), as well as supporting the site and the people who spend their time developing the items.
As for how everything has folded out, I think the recent uproar has really tarnished the community feeling. A lot of people I have been helping out with quests are finding it hard with all of the greed. I have a notice on my store that tells people I am okay with them messaging me to work out an affordable price, because I feel we should be helping each other out, like in a real life community of people. But meh, it's the internet and everyone has their own freedom.
What I dislike is all the announcements. I don't buy GC when I see an announcement. I work out my own budget and when I feel I can spare a few dollars before my next pay, I'll buy cash. If it's on sale, well that's a bonus. I just hate being pestered.

A million?..I think multimillions and hundred millions would be closer. Anything that's an EI or a letter tends to be far above this now, pretty soon we'll enter billions on everything. .w. Loyal's prices are also really high and new items will likely be higher, but, thankfully the regular gold shops are still regular gold shops.
Um..I'm okay with gc, by itself. But this "system" for lack of a better word, is broken af and getting worse with no fix in sight.I'm genuinely afraid that by the end of the year gold gens will be paying out trillions and I won't be able to afford a single sketch of art anymore, among other things. There are a few wonderful people that are selling art pre-inflation prices though. ^,^;
