A stranger father son pair the Savannah hadn't seen in a while. While the father walk with a smooth, languid grace the son behind was large, bulky, and easily excitable. Safi couldn't blame the boy; ah, to be so young and carefree without the burdens of parenthood. He himself was like that once (still was now, but he liked to say otherwise). The leopon walked through a patch of softer grass, making his way towards a mighty stream that was just calm enough to take a dip.
It had been the same place that his mother took him as a cub, and he hadn't forgotten it. The sights, the smells; they hadn't changed at all over the years. "Xabryel when I was a cub, I often-DAMMIT, where did you go now?!" For a lion so big as his son, the boy could disappear when he wished!
Xabryel smiled from a branch just above his father. Should the leopon actually look up instead of blathering on about how insolent his son was then he might have noticed the rather large grin on the lions face. His kind didn't normally take to trees, but with so many leopards in his family it left little wonder as to why Xabryel liked trees so much. He sat on the branch for a while, pondering his next move before taking on a devilish grin. Oh, he'd get his dad for sure!
Wriggling his butt, he prowled to the end of the branch and just when he was sure it would snap, he leapt into the water. For a moment he was as light as a bird, and that all changed when he hit the water. The slap against his stomach was brutal, but the feel of the chilly water was priceless.

The pale brown cheetah was walking peacefully, her posture calm and her mind at ease. Her cubs were fully grown, off on their own adventures and she could take some time for herself...man it was boring! She huffed to herself. Life was so boring when you focused on yourself...She loved having cubs around, and she loved the hustle and bustle of messy, loud and chaotic environments. She thrived in it!
She hadn't really realised that until she had become a mother. Offspring were the biggest wakeup call that she had ever had. She chuckled to herself, cheerfully lost in memories.
She was walking along the edge of the stream when a loud splash caught her attention and she glanced up, spotting the pale creature on the opposite side of the stream to her, and a figure in the water. She hesitated. Oh gosh, she hoped the person in the water had intended to be in the water!
Dysi was walking along cheerfully, burdened free by cubs today and enjoying teh freedom while it lasted. HE was sure it wouldn't be long until Maleficar got clucky enough to demand that they have cubs together instead of their strange habit of bringing home cubs from flings to live together.
They were an odd couple but it was exactly how Dysi liked it! Freedom but the security of being whole-heartedly loved by someone and to love someone with all of his heart. It was perfect.
He too hard the splash but his reaction was different. In his mind, he instantly thought Oh! That looks like fun! He grinned to himself, and padded towards the spot of the stream closest to the strangers.
Without thinking, he threw himself into the stream from the bank, giving a whoop of laughter as he did so. Getting older certainly didn't mean growing up!

Ghasia approached the edge of the stream, hesitating and certainly not stepping into the water. She was close enough to the two playing in the stream that she could see them both, and would be able to call out to them. She hesitated to do so though, wondering if she would just be bothering them. They seemed very happy with their water.
She noticed someone approaching in the water though, a pale lion it looked like. He seemed more intent at crossing the river than playing, so she addressed him.
"Hello! Is everything ok?" She asked, tentatively.
Dysi swam underneath the water for a few moments, enjoying the pleasure of being completely submerged. It had been a while since he had been swimming but he had always enjoyed it. He just hated the after affects it had on his coat - it made it so...froofy.
It was frustrating, but he was just enjoying the swim for the moment.
He broke the water with a joyous laugh, but paused, scanning for his companion, missing the 'hiding' male on his first glance and leaving himself open to an attack.

Xabryel's scruffy mane hung limp around his face, framing the scars and youthful grin perfectly. He kicked at the water, craning his head to get a drink as he kept an eye out for the leopard. Any moment now...
"Ah-ha!" Giving up his position entirely the large lion send a large splash towards Dysi. He tried to look intimidating, but that was hard to do when he couldn't stop laughing.
"Hello to you! You looked to be rather lonely, so I thought I might strike up a conversation." Safi smiled, internally cringing as his son, the adult, goofed around like a newborn. Had he not been in the presence of a lady he would have reprimanded the boy.
I raised that.
He had been the cause of the spoiling, though, so he couldn't be too aggravated. Safi walked through the water, carefully staying towards the shallow spots, hoping against hope not to be caught up in their war.
And of course one of Xabryel's splashes went straight for his father. He didn't even know it made contact until he heard the other male's surprised roar, and then Xabryel went still. Would his father be mad, or...? Safi turned to glare at him, his thicker fur hanging in spots, uneven because of the splash.
Xabryel ducked back down into the water like a croc, with only the top of his head visible.

Ghasia smiled at the pale white feline who approached her, hearing his words and giggling. "I'm assuming everyone is ok?" She asked, stepping closer to the edge of the water but thankfully not within range of Xabryel's splash attack that struck his father with a full force.
She gasped slightly at the splash, but she couldn't help the torrent of giggles that spilled forth at him, and also at Xabyrel's reaction. It was the perfect 'WOOPS' expression and the reaction of a child waiting for reprimand.
"Oh, I didn't know you were in the water battle too," she giggled at Safi.
Dysi grinned as he got the splash to his face - Xabryel had a size advantage to the leopard, and so his splashes were much bigger than Dysi's but Dysi was never one to back down from a fight. He returned fire as much as he could, but Xabyrel's last attack fell short of Dysi and instead hit the white leopon.
Dysi stilled as well, peering at the leopon to see what his reaction was, though he shot the pretty cheetah on the side of the river bank a crooked smile, sharing her amusement over the scenario.
